I could not imagine leaving home and stepping into a situation like he has, at the highest level of the sport. Motocrossers have to be some of the most tenacious people on the planet. You don't see a rugby player from Australia walking into an NFL backfield position. I'm positive some of them could, but this kid is showing the courage to make it happen.

Seems like a good kid with a level head on his shoulders. Hopefully he can find another spot somewhere after grant returns, but never know, if grant comes back mackie could be back on that bike again the next week (hope not, but lets be honest, its a good possibility).

This is why the AMA needs to revise its 2-stroke rules and allow riders to run almost super modified 2 stroke 250's in the 450 class. This guy couldnt ride becuase he wanted to save the bike..... that sucks... if they were all on 2 strokes this wouldnt be an issue....

AMA restrictions on 2 strokes are killing our sport.
