Great interview Nick. You and Trey Canard are two of the guys who give this sport personality. Something that it desperately needs. Keep twisting the throttle and even better things will come your Wey.....
NYK. I agree with RX Virtual Trainer 100%. now go out and kick some ass this weekend. You have what it takes!!!
Awesome interview. Nice to hear a pro rider keeping it real. Good luck Nick!
Sorry to say, but you're at the end of your racing career. It happens to all of us. It's not gonna get any easier breaking the top 10 let alone getting into the main. Motox racing is a cruel but very rewarding sport. I sure wish the top 20 could really make a good living. Supercross needs to change from the top down. It reminds me of wall street. The dudes at the head of the table kick ars, while the others starve. These stadiums are too damn full not to be sharing with the racers. Good luck NYK.
Unlike the old days, I think by showcasing a rider's personality as much as their results, modern media has made it so that a racer can still get good support and have a large fan base, even though he may be a veteran, or might not be winning or always at the sharp end of the pack. Guys like Windham, Tedesco, Short and Wey are a sponsors dream. Nick is one of the most interesting guys out there. He's well-spoken, funny and personable. If I were a sponsor, I'd hire him over half of the guys who are in the top 20, not to mention a bunch who aren't, but have more support.
