Darryn Durham Injury Update

CORONA, Calif. - Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Darryn Durham sustained a wrist injury following a practice crash Friday at the Kawasaki test track. The newest Pro Circuit Race Team member was taken to the hospital immediately following the accident, where the doctor informed him he had a slight fracture of the wrist.
The Pennsylvania native had surgery that night to insert a screw in his wrist, which should help speed up the recovery process. Expected to be in a cast for four weeks, Durham is optimistic he will be ready in time for the start of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross season.
“Everything is going good,” Durham said recently. “It is just a minor set back, but I will be ready for the season at the beginning of January.”
Team owner Mitch Payton added, “It’s unfortunate. Darryn was looking good on the bike. With time and through rehabilitation, we hope he can get back on the bike soon.”
The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team starts the season just after the New Year, with the opening round of the AMA Supercross Championship from Anaheim’s Angel Stadium on Saturday, January 7.

man just when he had a chance!
He's fast man.....And Mitch knows what he's doin.... He'll be back!!!!
Heal fast Bro!
Maybe let the dude heal and switch him to east coast?
What a DRAG!!! Was hoping Durham would be 100% at the start of the season.
Like the previous comment, maybe he will be a shoe in for the East Coast.
Been a fan of his for a while. Good luck and heal fast!!!
No biggie, better now then right before A1... he'll shred when he gets back
Damn that stinks. Hope he is not one of them guys who always has bad luck.
Race him on the East Coast rounds and give him more time to heal.
Yeah switch him to the east to give the extra time. Plus he's from PA. and would do better on the rutted east coast rounds anyway.
bad luck is a curse for some of the best riders. get well soon!
i think he just firmed up his status as an East Coast rider.
Yep, need that puppy healed up and strong, we're pullin for ya to do great this year Darrel.......Darryn ;)
Darryn will be fine, just give him time to settle in at PC and give his wrist time to heal. I think he'd be fine for A1 but who knows what Mitch will decide on
