Your Collection: 1990 Stanton Replica CR250
Monday, October 10, 2011 | 1:00 PMThis weeks collection comes to us from Kyle Wade.
"Hi, I came across this Racer X post on submitting personal collections and cool stuff like that and I figured you would appreciate a pretty much dead-on replica of Jeff Stantons 1990 CR250. I was born in 1990 so that's what made me decide to choose this bike as a project and I remember watching videos of Jeff Stanton racing my Dad had recorded in the early 90s so I always have been a fan. I found this bike on Craigslist and I got it for $750 and all together I have around $1000 in it. I hope you enjoy it."
Thanks,
- Kyle

Sweet. I was working at a Honda dealership and had a chance to meet Stanton around that time, brings back some good memories. Good year for the CR's...
Cool bike man!
Awesome to see a 90' cr restored. You dont see many of those around.
I love the bike, but you need to add the Works Connection frame protectors near the footpegs/subframe area since he always ran those. Also, the HRC bikes of the era had a magnesium ignition cover that had Honda Racing in raised letters on two lines(honda above, racing below), which while rare, can be found if you look really hard. I have one for my CR500AF for nostalgic reasons.
You do museum quality work, and I applaud your efforts! Very well done!
