Thor Riders Dominate Weekend

Monday, September 26, 2011 | 2:30 PM
With both the WORCS Racing Series and Can-AM GNCC Series on the schedule over the weekend, that meant multiple Thor riders were in action and in search of podium finishes.

The GNCC Series was in Somerset, Pa. for the VP Racing Fuels Mountain Ridge GNCC.  KTM Off-road rider Charlie Mullins held an eight-point lead in the XC1 Pro class following Round 10 and looked to increase his lead during Round 11.  Mullins did exactly that by capturing the victory, extending his lead in the standings to 17 points over reigning champ, Josh Strang.

The GNCC series will have a couple weeks off before getting back into action for Round 12 at the ITP Powerline Park GNCC in St. Clairsville, Ohio. on October 8-9.

The WORCS series was on the track this weekend in Devore, Calif. at Glen Helen Raceway.  Thor rider’s would be in complete control of the podium when the final checkered flag flew on Sunday with Monster Energy Kawasaki’s, Taylor Robert, leading the charge.  Right next to Robert on the podium were Thor riders Mike Brown (2nd) and overall point’s leader Kurt Caselli (3rd).  With the all Thor podium finish, those same three riders control the top three positions in the season standings.  Caselli is first with 354 points, followed by Robert with 326 points and Brown with 296 points.
