@Troy - Yep, we get to see Rattray, Wilson, Reed, Metcalf, Musquin, Swanepoel, etc racing in our national series... and even Roczen next year.
I imagine that must really burn you. We, on the other hand, enjoy seeing the best riders in the world compete on the same track, regardless of where they are from.

Been a Reed fan for years, it's a shame that he's pretty much out of it but have to admit...Dungey rocks!...Second moto was a hell of a ride!
@Troy - Are you that guy that thought Chad Reed had the US 450 Motocrss title all done? Metcalfe has been racing in the U.S. since 2003 and it is racing over here that made him fast. It is not like he just came over from the GPs and won. When a GP rider comes over here and just enters a race and wins it let us know!
congrats to suzuki for gettin bike runnin.....but how much closer can u cut it....and how many times can dungey come back from these problems dnf s bike quittin.....could have left yesterday with points lead if not for the problems....saw a picture fom the wick reed dungey standing at starting line talkin... maybe about next year bein on same team???
I'm a Dungey fan but if RV doesn't have any misfortune in the next 2 races, looks like he has it wrapped. I really don't see Dungey making up this points unless he has some help from RV....bummer.
I'm a Villopoto fan but I gotta say Dungey rode an amazing race! Villopoto and the rest of field whould be scared cause if Dungey ride like that when he does start the moto there's no catching him!
i think dungeys got some speed up his sleeve....decoster and carmichael have taught him well when to take risks and when not too best racing is yet to come imo...wonder if kawie rleased 2012 to "spark" villipoto worked for unadilla but southwick although weather affected track conditions poto could have capatilized and dropped the ball...and after race was over he acted like he clinched the championship imo... 4 motos left to go alot could happen..villi bein handed the title hasn t capitilized on it does it come back to haunt him??????
Dungey would be leading the series if not for the two mechanicals.
Why would Team Suzuki's #1 rider be provided with a bike that runs out of gas at one race and does not start at another?
And why, if it is true that Dungey supposedly has one of the top mechanics on the tour, would these things have happened?
It leaves us with questions. There have been no answers from Team Suzuki. But if Villo wins the title, that will be a BIG answer.

OK, how about Dungey 1-1, Barcia 2-2, Villopoto 3-3 @ Steel City.....last race could be incredible.
BTW, if Dungey stays or goes elsewhere, he would be crazy not to fight to keep MG with him...probably more experience than any current mechanic in mx.

Has Chad Reed ever won a American Championship when the main comp. stayed healthy? Chad Reed does not EARN Championships...Chad Reed is GIVEN Championships.
What was up with that second 450 moto coverage on Speed?? Wasn't that tape delayed?? Seemed like Fro and Wegee had no clue that the race had started!! They were talkin about the parade lap being optional while everyone was fighting for the lead. Reed went down in the first corner and they didn't say a thing!! Weird.
@pizzacorner. On the other hand i think Reed should have earned some championships he did not win too. He probably gave away the outdoor series this year when he made that big crash.(just like carmichael and Stewart did)

@dungenous ..team suzuki probably just doesn't answer REALLY dumb questions. But heres some really dumb answers... just for you. question 1 they give them unprepared poor handling crappy bikes and only fill them half tank as a prank. It really cracks up everyone when it stops on the last lap of a blistering hot moto your winning or when it dies on the moto 2 starting line in the rain after winning moto1...question 2 he only has a multi time championship winning mechanic (theres no supposedly) ,when he should have had decoster wave a magic voodoo shop rag over it so it will always run perfect forever and ever and ever!!!
What a performance by the riders this year.Reed had a crash that would leave most riders done for the day,but he gets up and still has good finish and then Dungeys race this weekend.Coming from half a lap in last place to finsish 7th.Not many stars of motocross past and present could have done that.Good Ride!!!!!!!!!
Dungy rode like a lion. I cant help be feel a bit robbed by Suzuki though. I cant help but think there could of been a bit more to the race if RD/RV were lined up as normal. Bummed Reed continues to go backwards and I still feel that JB is a better choice of MXDN than Bagget - Even more so now. Congrats Metty!

Great ride by Dungy, smart ride by Villopoto. This championship looks like it will go down to the lase moto. Anyone still that Dungy does not deserve the number 1 plate he earned last year?
Looks like some of these guys are finally getting up to the speed that Stewart had when he was racing the Nationals , not quite there yet , but getting close , I hear he has a new trick up his sleeve , that he will soon start using , Like the Bubba scrub , they will all copy , but it will take them awhile to get it down , Must be pretty cool to reinvet MX , GO JS7

I have to really question the brutal commentating on the speed tv broadcast. Weege, Fro, you guys have seen more than a few races, what the heck are you talking about for the first lap of the race? Did you not have any time to tape over that garbage? If you guys weren't so busy filling air with whatever seems to fill air at the time you'd have realized there was a race with all kinds of action, drama and excitement going on. Seriously, I like you guys, but that was absolutely brutal.
Bring on the Canadian guys Koster and Travers, they absolutely kill the american coverage and don't miss major things like the start of an epic US National moto.

What irks me about the announcing, is that they babble on about something else for the first 2 laps, while you are sitting there wondering who is battling for the lead. Then finally, the "position" ribbon scrolls across the top of the screen, so you know what's actually going on. The announcers are most needed in those first few laps, and they rarely deliver the goods.
I know throwing stones behind the protective cover of a keyboard is easy here, not to mention the blinding loyalty to any one brand or rider but...
Anyone bother to think how amazing it was that Dungey's team actually gave him a chance. Yeah it sucks they had bike problems, and yeah it seems like they've lost a step since Decoster left, but instead of doggin' on RD's team, how about giving them props for troubleshooting and then fixing the bike giving they're rider a fighting chance. Factory teams aren't exempt from UNFORESEEN problems.
Same thing happened to Short last year and Honda couldn't get him up an running.
Just saying, instead of hating on the team how about giving them some credit.
If Dungey wants a bike that starts and does not run out of gas, then he needs to race KTMs.
MTK-that's a pretty brave statement. All bikes are prone to problems. Wasn't one of the KTM riders having problems ALL day long at the last MXofN ? it was either Musquin, or Caroili. I can't remember...and Short had a DNF this year on his 350 caused by a mechanical. Think before you type.

Man- Dungey looks really pis ssed in that shot. It's amazing he was able to accomplish so much, considering how mad he must have been. Talk about a mental regroup. A champions effort- but now he has to get through Villopoto these next four moto's to seal the deal. It's going to be a great four motos. Too bad for Reed, I hate to see him go out that way.

Didn't Metcalfs honda run out of gas at southwick last year....didn't reed AND barcias hondas BLOW up sat. Did'nt Shortys 3fity have some problems and failures...seems like roger would have run out on the track and fixed it like he used to do at suzuki right....? i kid! @Psycoair 101(old timer)lol , your response was so impressive and all those big words..wow. I'll believe it when I see it- A KTM winning a title here. I think it'll happen eventually, but people talk like they're magic and can't possible have a problem. I don't think they'd even hit the podium yet in the big class. Go Dungey!!
@ CA207 ... KTM will win more than one title in the USA. But they do need to have DeCoster put together a stronger team in the states. Perhaps KTM will sign Dungey?

I think it's a done deal with Dungey going to KTM, I just hope he doesn't sacrifice himself or his career like so many before him. Somebody's gotta break through, hope it's him. I'm a life long Suzuki fan, I don't even like Stewart, but I hope he signs, keeps it on 2, and wins a title to make the 4th rider in 7 years to win on the "same" bike. Alessi coulda won on it too.
last week and weeks before, we had mike. This week we have troy. not too hard too see that mike=troy. can really only be one-one of a kind hater like that. Too bad he can't come down to earth. I, personally would welcome comments from around the world, as long as they can be accurate and civil. And like many others, I am glad ALL this talent is here for us to watch. There was a time that if your bike didn't fire at the starting line the start was held for 2 minutes, is that still a rule or am I still living in the 70's? If that is a rule why wouldn't Dungey's team mate not have an issue and take the 2 min's.

I have a theory that KTM slipped Goose some big $$ to sabotage the bike this year so that Dungey gets mad at Suzuki and wants to go KTM. I imagine it something like this...
"So Mike.....What's your championship bonus at Suzuki, ok double it, and if Ryan's bike happens to DNF a few moto's....you know maybe not quite enough gas here, a thrown chain there....then it's all yours, and you'll have a job here the next 2 seasons"
obviously I'm kidding, but it seems very uncharacteristic for Goose to have so many bike issues.
And wasn't it just last year that I saw people stating that the only reason Ryan, and Chad the year before were winning was because they were on the best bike...now a couple issues (2 of which were a fluke...a thrown chain and evaporating fuel at TX) and Suzuki sucks...lol good one
