Herlings beats Roczen in the sand again.
Wow, Vicki Golden wins?
Didn't see even one minute of X-Games this year..............oh well.
Way to go Teddy Maier
Wonder if Honda will steal Cianciarulo from Kawasaki like they did Canard and Bogle on their last years as amatuers, or even Tomac for that matter or if they'll bring him into the Pro Circuit fold before Geico Honda gets him.
Good to see Oldenburg and Biseglia from North Texas up running with the big dogs.
Don't understand how that KTM 350 works so good in Euro land and it is at such a disadvantage here.
Lots of Pastrana hype at the X Games as usual.....Love the kid to death, but is it really a suprise he hurt himself and blew other commitments he had??? Every year, they try to sell the Travis dramarama to the at home viewer and make the entire weekend about TP199....Cool to jump back in the car with the busted foot, but stupid just the same..... Enduro Cross is pretty cool to watch if you like watchind dudes fall in bolders ....That Teddy guy was cutting the track every lap and going around obstacles.. Cool to see some old MX guys out there....Brown, Hughes
@
jairtime suks It has a LOT to do with the Rider IMO, Short was not winning on a 450 either so i don't blaim the bike for it. I think RD, RV or Reed could win on a 350 here.
Too everyone hats off to all that made the Yamaha Wake up Report!!! Now I want everyoner to go tho the Lead Law update and do your partR it only take a little while. I have ben a member of AMA sinse 72 and suppoert the AMA legal fund. Those of you I enjoy your comments and all of the rest. DO YOUR PART and save the future of dirt bikes I never ate my first dirt bike did you??
I practiced my sand riding on the sand bars of the Missisippi and Des Moins rivers. tought me how to ride in mud also. I would love to have went to Glammis though! Oh there was Keithsburg ILL that Bob Hannah said it was the toughest track he ever raced on. Hey Bob if you read this back me up........?????
Zach Osborne?
petar petrov, the brother of petra petrov ??? ... kudos to all the girls at the x, very exciting .... fan of josh coppins but after the debacle of 2007, here we go again ... racer, very soon you'll have to mentioned the name of ”Courtney Duncan”... taddy blaz is a serious dh mo-fu ... to-5 dutch rider ever: herlings, dave strijbos, john van den berk, kess van der den, gert jan van doorn .... sorry for my bad english
a (very sad) thought for the little angel Isabell J. "Izzy" Koob
I'm fairly certain the sand in Glamis is entirely different than the sand in Southwick which, is altogether different than the sand in Belgium.......who knew we had so many different kinds of sand..........a good sand rider is still a good sand rider though.....
About the 350 doing well in Euro. I read somewhere that they don't have the production rule over there so the 350's they ride are actually bored out to 420. Don't know if this is true, but it makes me wonder.
@Kilroy Osborne is out for possibly the rest of the season, from injury.
Can't remember what happened, but go to VitalMX and you can find out on there.
Osborne.crashed at Foxhills national.I think he hurt his shoulder.
Even with the production rule as long as the bike is not over 450cc I think a bored and stroked 350 would be legal.I watched AC222 pull a holeshot in the sand yesterday.
@jairtime suks, For one thing the bike Caroli is riding ISNT a 350, it is bored to be a 420, most guys who follow the GP's regular know this. It is legal to do in the GP's as long as it stays below 450 cc's. But it isnt allowed under AMA rules. So Caroli has alot more power in his bike that Shorty's 350. Dont forget Short BEAT Caroli at the Des Nations when Short was on the 450 and Caroli was on that KTM.
And BILLC, I DO NOT think RV or Dungey or Reed would be where they are on the 350, not under AMA rules. Maybe on Carolis so-called 350 that is bored, but not on Shorts.
@Rick Melon, I agree, I love to watch Travis, my son has his Notro Circus DVD's and all. Bit the promoters act as if Pastrana is the only guy to compete all weekend. I watched alot of the X-Games this weekend, some was lame and some was good, but the total outrages push for all things Travis was getting out of hand. And he didnt really accomplish alot, so it made the push look really dumb. I know Travis works hard every year to shine during X-Games and I surely dont blame him, but the promoters need to realize he isnt the only guy who does X-games.
@BILLC, I guess what I am saying is that you criticize Short on here alot, with little backhanded comments to Shoret as the reaon why the 350 isnt succesful, like its all Shorts fault because he isnt good and Cairoli is this great rider. When Short BEAT Cairoli at the Des Nations in one moto, and the moto that Caroli beat Short in is when Short was knocked down. So Short seems faster right. When they raced "straight up" as guys love to call it, Short beat Cairoli. So why is it the rider when the 350 isnt up to snuff??
@bd200,, You think Short and AC are in the same league ??? Dude, your high... Let me clue you in on another fact,, Short wanted to ride the 350 because he THOUGHT he would not get as tired on it like he did the 450 last year.
In AMA pro mx you can bore the 350 KTM up to 450cc and be legal. You can bore but you cannot stroke the motor. If you don't believe me then go to AMA pro and look it up dumb a$$es.It the production rule not STOCK class.
Only managed to see the Womens Enduro X. Oh the carnage! There had to be broken bones but those girls just kept getting back up. Displayed incredible mental toughness. Hats off ladies.
They ONLY raced 1 moto together at the MXD bd200 so I don't know what you are talking about. Also Caroli's bike has been ripped down in teck and they said it was a 350. So who do ya believe?? I don't know. Also how is it bad mouthing Short when what i said is true?? Short did not win on a 450 and now there are even more fast guys there so he has been pushed back a few more spots. I am not saying the 350 is as fast or anything but some on here blaim the bike 100% and I don't thats all. In the end the rider has the most to do with it, If not tell me how Roczen did so well at the MXD on a 250 then?? He started in the top 5 on a 250, PASSED a few 450 guys and finished 2nd on a 250 but your telling me a 350 can't get the job done... I just don't see that point. Also Short has tested BOTH the 350 and 450 and said the 350 is better for him soooooooooooo
@bd200,, you get hammered EVERY time you post on here... Don't you get sick of that after awhile ??
I'm guessing he won't respond..
RV ran away from the entire WORLD on a 250 at Bud's, so displacement does not guarantee a win. Check the weekly lap times, Baggett (on his 250) could easily run in the top 5 against the 450's at most tracks. Shorty may look a little slow, but he is up against some serious talent.
Short is faster then AC. It has been proven.
@BIILC, I'm not saying the 350 is junk, and I'm not saying Short is a better rider than AC, just saying he is ALOT better than you make him out to be. He beat AC in the Des Nations, period. Short is a good rider. I am just not sold on the 350 when racing against 450's. I t just gives away too much horsepower. AC's bike is the 350 cases, but I have read several times that it is ported and stroked to a 420, legal in the GP's, its all I can say, whether its true or not, neither of us know. And RV beat everyone on his 250 once too, we know. Do you think he could run with Dungey and Reed right now on a 250?? NO WAT, he couldnt. And I dont see him beating Dungey if he is running an bike with over 8 less horsepower than he is running now.
How come you buy the story when guys say the Yamaha 450 is junk as to why Stewie didnt win the supercros title?? You said yourself in your last post "The rider has the most to do with it"
@MX Mofo, dont know what you are saying about me "getting hammered" on here EVERY time I post, but WHAT??? And you are a tool, never contribute anything usefull, just an as#hole. So I pretty much ignore YOU. Which is why I dont respond to you. You never post anything intelligent , just childish insults, so I ignore you.
Wow bring Herlings to southwick for sure. He's gonna put on a sand clinic, even for rattray. Vicky golden handles SX whoops like a dude. give her a factory ride, or factory support. Cant believe honda got justin bogle. Thought for sure he'd be going pro on green. He's still in thor gear tho... those dirty geico guys
@bd200,, you said " How come you buy the story when guys say the Yamaha 450 is junk as to why Stewie didnt win the supercros title?? "
You really are an IDIOT ... Since you started the name calling once again,, I will keep it going, you moron...
@bd200,,, You are a dumbass .....
http://www.amaproracing.com/assets/AMAPro-MX-2011-Rules.pdf
d. Cylinder bore may be increased to achieve the displacement limit on
motorcycles homologated for competition, provided that any kits or
parts used to increase engine displacement (to the approved class
limit) must use items that have been approved by AMA Pro Racing.
e. Stroke must remain the same as the homologated model.
@bd200,,, Here is your quote ,,,
"@jairtime suks, For one thing the bike Caroli is riding ISNT a 350, it is bored to be a 420, most guys who follow the GP's regular know this. It is legal to do in the GP's as long as it stays below 450 cc's. But it isnt allowed under AMA rules."
bd200,,, most guys who follow AMA Pro Motocross regularly know this... hahahaha
@mxmofo,Dude you must not be able to read.In the link that you posted on page 22 article 3.3 it clearly states that you can bore up to the legal limit(450cc}.Technically you can bore a 350KTM to 450cc.You might not be able to do it physically but technically and legealey you can.
Yes there is NO doubt Jeffery Hearling is the Greatest ever sand rider
His first lap of his qualification lap was 5 secs faster than anyone. 250 or 450 !!!!!!!
And yes he is also GAY.
@ To mxmofo,,, I already know this... bd200 did NOT.. I'm thinking you do NOT know how to read..
I can't spell but I can read. You wrote to bd200 that it isn't allowed to bore a bike in AMA competion.Thats what you wrote.
BD200 I never said The bike is why JS lost, All I ever say is there is a VERY long list of people that say the 450YZ is no good. I never rode one so I don't know. All I have to go by is what i have heard and even the Mags don't have a whole lot good to say about it.
MXMOFO was quoting bd200 when he said that.
And yes bd200 it is the rider, BUT some guys can't mesh with some bikes, Its just the way it is. Hell even the KING MC rode a 3 year old bike because he did not like the "NEW" Honda's at the time. Guys like K-Dub can tell the Dif between a AL skid plate and a Carbin one!! Thats CRAZY!!!
Bill C,I guess MOFO's right I can't read.I see what your saying now!
MC rode a '92 or 93 Honda frame under his new bike because he hated the aluminum frame when Honda came out with them. They were very harsh, my neighbor had one. It was very stiff. Its one of the reasons I like my KTM so much, it is a steel frame and very flexes great. Not stiff at all.
I think Stewie kicked butt on the Yamaha, he hauled as@ on it, and he crashes on about every bike he races, so its hard to tell by that.
Yes the pro's can pick out very little suspension details too. I will say this, I put a hard mount skid plate on the bottom of my KTM and could tell the difference in the way the bike handled and everything, it was unreal the difference. So I got rid of it and got a rubber mount one. It really did change alot the way the bike handled.
@bd200,,, what I think you dont seem to understand is that there are WAY more riders out there that dont like the Yam besides JS.. My friend has about 7k in his Yam, and just quit riding two or three weeks ago because he went out and got a 2012 Kaw,,, and loves it. I heard a rumor that Kyle Regal did not like it,, probably why I seen him at Millville on Sunday parctice on a Suz 450.. Like I said before,, all you have to do is go to a couple of local races and ask riders what they think of them... Not saying this is why JS had a horrible SX season,, but the bike sure didnt help..
You said there are way more riders that DONT like the Yamaha besides JS?? I dont ever remember Stewie saying anything bad about his Yamaha. NEVER heard him say anything. I am not saying the Yamaha is a great bike, I'm just not going to buy the excuses of the Stewtards as to why Stewie didnt win the supercross title. I just think that the other 3 had a better season and are as fast or faster on certain tracks. The way he rode several tracks the bike seemed to be working great. He didnt have a horrible season, he had the 2nd most wins. He just has alot more tough competition than he has since RC retired. Instead of one or two fast guys who can win, we now have 4..
When Andrew Short was on a 450 Honda in 2010, he was a podium guy almost every week, now that he's on that KTM 350 he's barely a top ten guy. Granted there is much stiffer competition this year, but you would think that he would still be a top 5 rider. It has to have something to do with that 350.
@MXMOFO, you are such a douchebag. Is that all you do is throw insults?? You must be the biggest dirtball there is on here. You never say anything smart on here or anything, just being a douche. You get on here and call guys dumbas@ and all like you are something special, when you are just a coward hiding behind a keyboard. What a pus$y you are. Probably one of the "bro's" in your little flat-billed hat hanging out in his black shirt and black socks like a real loser chump. grow a pair would ya'. And act like a man.
Todd Potter. Just another way to say "Douche"
I know. Can't wait to see Potter working the front door @ my local Wal-Mart! What a clown! He reminds me of Tyler "Opps I gotz too many Tat's" Evans.
Peace out Potter. You jumped the Shark when you tried to diss the Bubba Man!
It looks like MXMORON is the one who isnt reponding, what a douchebag, he is such a prick douche. Wish he would go away and stay away.
@ bd200,, who did I through insults at ? You called me a duma$$ first, remember ?? At leat use your real screen name instead of making them up, you pu$$..
No one on here has the right to call another person a coward behind the keyboard, it just doesn't work. I come on here to read the articles and then when i get to the bottom of the page i read the first couple of comments and then its like a train wreck, I get stuck reading all of your stupid posts. You all think your thew smartest people in the sport and your always right and you can get away with it because there is no accountability and you can change your screen name on the next post. RacerX please close these forums.... This is 1000x worse then Vital ever was or will be.
@ qwerty,, You are so right.. bd200 changes his name all the time when he gets mad at someone for correcting him.. He has done that many times.. Just read above,, he calls me a a$$hole, then blames me for insulting others..
MXMOFO for one thing, I NEVER post under a different name, never. If I wanted to call you something I would. You arent important enough for me to worry about. Second, I didnt call you names first, you responded on a post and said I was high(insult right there). And themn posted again some dribble about me "getting hammered" everytime I post or some dumb crap like that, more insults. So before you come up with any more lies and garbage, go back and catch up yourself, your memory isnt very good. And the only crap I catch is usually from you and your juvenile insults, At least myself and BILLC can insult and back up our claims with some kind of fact or opinion, and we take it all in jest. You do nothing but insult, period. And I have a feeling your one of those guys that if you were toe to toe, you wouldnt utter and single insult. And again, I NEVER post under any name but this one, ever.
@qwerty, you are 100% right, losers like mxmofo9what a gay nickname) thinks he is right no matter what. He is just a clown. He just posted to attack people, and never post anything constructive at all, just insults. I called him just like I see him.
