What happened to Fiolek? Thought she was going to race?

Fiolek crashed during practice and was knocked out. She decided to skip this race so she can recover and finish the nationals.

The Moto-X speed and style was a all USA podium.. WOO HOO!!, USA USA USA!!!

I'm glad the Speed & Style wasn't the gooberfest it was last year when Twitch and Faisst were going at it. Twitch fell down, Faisst got an insurmountable lead, then stalled his stinkin' four stroke in the whoops and couldn't start the worthless P.O.S., so Twitch passed him back to an insurmountable lead, then they stopped short of the checkered and didn't finish the race, Deegan had to tell them "You didn't finish the race!" and they both went back at it, I don't even remember who won. It was so comical. All that was missing was some of that Charlie Chaplin music.

Yea, if you are racing the Nationals and hit your head, it's time to pull out of the competition. Over time head injuries can end a career fast.

Ashley needs to get into a Hyperbaric Chamber and heal that head injury asap. As a former Pro rider I sustained multiple concussions. I can tell you this is the only way to heal new or old head injuries.

The ladies were fast! I was definitely entertained. Most of my moto buddies groan about the WMX motos at the Nationals but I look forward to watching...I have been a fan since the Cherry Stockton and Sue Fish days...my the speed has increased and the racing improved!

How in hell did the women get in the X games only 5 % like it as per the poll here. Is this an entitlement thingy in our industry and media, yes it is. Well those slugs cannot beat any local district pro let alone be fast. GET REAL PEOPLE

the reason the women race x games is because of the tv ratings. espn says they pull a bigger market share than the men do.

Without Fiolek and Patterson, how many ladies were left on the starting gate?
Seems like only a few women entered this year. Where is Bash, Cruse, Sik,
Kaneshiro and Whitmore?

Hey slugfest, your a douche! These women would rip you a new one on any track. Give some respect to the top women, unlike the WNBA, the WMA is competitive and just as exciting to watch as the men. I solute any person man or women that can do what these girls do on a bike.

@Johnmotoman: Not many were invited to begin with. Bash was there, but got eliminated, and some others too.

pizzacorner wrote: 6:00pm July 31, 2011

Ashley has the BEST bike by a mile in WMX. Give her any other bike and Patterson could crash 3 times and still win.

Motohead279 wrote: 8:15pm July 31, 2011

Pizzacorner, it's more about setup rather than which bike brand, HP, etc. Although these girls are fast, there are nowhere near riding the limits of any bike they are on, just as anyone, besides the few top riders in the world that can ride a bike to it's limits.

Thanks Mr. District!! I Never knew it was invite only!!! Bash got second a few years back at Home Depot Center. Can't believe she got eliminated!!!
Can't wait to go to Pala to see the the Finale!!! I have been a fan of Women's MX for a while now.

Tara Gieger is a bad ass, not only is she fast but she has an awesome style, and she's beautiful.

So how many girls were at the gate in total? Are these just the results of the best four? Or are these really the results and there where only 4 girls there to begin with?

... and let me just add that Livia Lancelot is a very fine looking young woman. She's so good looking that in fact, sometimes I wish I could find out where she is and than go over there and be like: Do you like animals? yeah?! how about trouser snakes?

pizzacorner is an idiot wrote: 11:27am August 1, 2011

@Pizzacorner, JP has said herself when she beat Ashley for the title not long ago that her bike was every bit as good as Ashleys, she said that is what it took to beat Fiolek, and now we are on an even playing field. If you really think a 110 pound Ashley is pushing that bikes suspension to its limits you are stupid..

Women rock. I want to see more of them! I love women's motocross, women's freestyle and women's Enduro X (without a wet course).

In women's basketball, they should have a 9 foot high goal. Considering their height difference as compared to men, it would only be fair, then they could be slam dunking like the men! That would make women's basketball more exciting.

Sue Fish used to be fast enough to win the 125 Intermediate class at Carlsbad, and that is pretty fast.
