Troy Lee Designs Honda Bikes at Washougal
Wednesday, July 27, 2011 | 2:15 PMIt was pretty cool when we spotted the blue Troy Lee Designs Lucas Oil Honda's hitting the track last weekend. What did you think of the blue TLD Honda gear and bikes at Washougal? Pretty spiffy eh?!? Take a look:

I think the bikes look SWEEET!!! Something different besides the same old red Hondas, I like the new look..
I thought they were awesome, you can really tell that Troy Lee Designs puts a lot of effort and thought into making their bikes look clean and match. They do a great of making their gear look good
Can someone explain their deal with Adidas? I can't remember Adidas providing sponsorship for any action sport.
Love the look.
They need blue seatcovers!
That both their riders were so far back in the pack and nobody noticed the cool bikes.
I hope they make the graphics kit available! I have the current kit. I know they painted the fenders blue, but it will still look rad with white plastics!

I want the full get-up, gear, helmet, blue kit. I love TLD's forward thinking creativity.
If you follow Moto GP at all you will associate the color with Team Rizzla's bikes. Troy Lee is a team sponsor to the Suzuki Rizzla bikes and provides all of the teams color schemes and graphics. Moto GP was in the states this past weekend and maybe he had some GP guys there to watch. Would have been a kool gesture to do his MX team up in blue for the weekend.. Maybe that was the reason for the new look! I'm diggin it!
I hope all the teams start running unique color ways. Since we can't have works bikes maybe we could at least have pro bikes that look different from the showroom stockers at the pro races. At least I would have a reason to buy a pit pass again.
It is the same color combo that Steve Mc Queen is having on his Porsche in his movie "le Mans".
really?
Racer X doesn't have ONE full bike shot of this amazing work by Troy?
really?
They should have painted them Yellow and put a diaper on them LOL.
Now that's a Honda i might ride. not a fan of the factory honda's , they look bone stock w/ red hubs
They don't look good IMO and neither does any troy lee gear, it all just looks retro and they never seem to have any good color schemes but its something different i guess and stands out, that's what they're after i supose.
AWSOME- always pushing the edges and that is what we all like about the sport= great job TLD
Every year the graphics and gear more AWESOME! Best graphics are the Iron Maiden Graphics from AMR racing.......now they just need riding gear to match. I can see it now.....Iron Maiden's own MX race team.
I think these special color schemes are great! Decals are so easy to make nowadays, they should at least do special graphics for each race!
Le Man, 1967, Henry Ford II arch rival of Enzo Ferrari, shows up and rolls out the GT40 resplendent in Gulf Oil orange and blue. AJ Foyt and Dan Gurney kicked Ferrari's ass that day and the looked fantastic doing it.
If this is the TLD inspiration, I'm all for it, I thought the bikes and gear looked fantastic.
They looked sweet, but I'm think a blue, black or even white seat cover would have rounded it off. The red cover just looked outta place imo.
i think both are awesome. im a kawi guy so i want to sport pc stuff, but man that shit is a head turner.
I normally like their stuff. But the helmet and gear look better than the bike. Colors need to be more vivid. I really like their normal graphics, thought they looked great! Great to see them out on the nationals.
