Monday, June 6, 2011 | 11:30 AM
Tomahawk Motocross Park in Hedgesville, WV would like to invite all riders holding an AMA Pro License for free practice the week between the AMA Lucas Oil High Point National and Budds Creek National. Riders and teams are invited to camp during the week and take advantage of the prepped track each day. The track will be open for campers on Sunday, June 12th at 5:00 p.m. Riders may enjoy free practice days from Monday, June 13th to Friday, June 17th.
Tomahawk MX owner Chad Gochenour added, “We want to offer the riders an opportunity to stay in the area and practice as much as they would like the week between the Nationals. Tomahawk is conveniently located between High Point and Budds Creek. They have a tough schedule, we’re glad we have the opportunity to offer them a place at Tomahawk that week.”
Tomahawk will continue with their regular practice schedule for members that week. For more information on Tomahawk MX Park contact Chad Gochenour at (304) 582-8185 or go to www.tomahawkmx.com.

A huge Thanks to Chad and Leanne. We're looking forward to spending the week with you guy's.
Awesome, pro riders get paid to ride and they can ride for free while loyal members have to pay to ride and pay to practice. Way to help out your loyal patrons who are always there. At least offer a discount price to members. This is a slap in the face to your regular customers.
GREAT NEWS... can't wait to watch the pros RIP UP one of the best tracks on the East Coast.
By "prepped track" they mean "dry and hardpacked by noon". Will people on the team not riding have to pay $3 like all other spectators?
Tomahawk MX hasn't been charging for spectators at all this year that I know of. And of recent post end of lawsuit the track has been SUPER well maintained. I think if you invite the pro's out, your working your machines, and that's what I expect to happen. I might take a day off.

This is a positive move to show the entire MX community that Chad and Tomahawk cares about this sport. Lately the local MX community has been siting on their hands for any reason and Chad has been trying to continue with out them. Example of giving back is offering the track for a kids ride free night on Thursdays. This is to cultivate intrest in motorcycling. He enjoys giving away his time and money to those who will truely appreciate it. True passion is what he has and the national and local and part time MX community should celebrate his efforts. Don't be negative, find the positive and use it.
Nice gesture Chad! Are local riders able to use the track any weekday this week as well? Looks like nice weather coming up!!!
