holeshot..yay. not..las vegas was a heartbreak...bubba..lost all respect for you.if your takin yourself out of the race, dont take out the guy that deserves a win, windham was clearly takin his own line, and bubba screwed it up for him..big let down
Bubba does the quad and thinks, "I'm going to pull away". K Dub answers, Bubba replies, "Oh Sh--"! Just a thought... If K Dub runs over Bubba's bike and falls past him, should he have finished 15th? It looked like he could have won Vegas.
exactly! windham not only go twrecked by him,but he flew further than bubba and was on his bike longer than bubba! even just one spot..he needs it
K-dub exposed yet another js weakness. Just ride the same line and match jump for jump. When js knows he can't pull a gap that's all the pressure it takes to make the fastest man to crash on the planet, to crash. Was so wanting k-dub to ride it right over js bike and make it out of the whoops with the rubber side down. K-dub so deserved to win that race. Looked to me like js hurt his knee or ankle or something, hope its not serious and he can make it for the outdoors? Is he even planning to race outdoors?
JS is not going to race outdoors so don't worry. He has time to heal.
One of the things that always impressed me about Ricky Carmichael was his ability to ride a different line, yet not lose ground. Go back and watch videos of RC racing and you'd see him catch someone, then change lines so he was almost never following. When he made the pass, he'd go back to the fast line and rocket away.
Gary Bailey always said you should never follow. Åke Jonsson said the same thing in his book "The technique of motocross".
Great Season and CONGRATS RV !!!!
Reed - The Bret Michaels award?..Seriously??? Couldnt tell Reed was Brets biggest fan or anything...what a dork. Reed should have pulled his wig off cause even Reed seemed to think it was LAME he won....that award should go to someone who really had it tough and made a comback.....RV, Hansen ...even Stewart ...guys who came back from injury or had some tough races...Reed started his own team by his choice and podiumed consistantley like he always does...aside from spending his own money to get things off the ground, by choice, he had a good, steady, normal Chad year...I dont get it...I call Man Crush on Michaels part.....
Stewart - If you were at the race, it was dusty as a MOFO and windy as hell...thats why stewart had the glasses on...they were saftey glasses basically....I Hope he rebounds from this crazy year....Hit the dirt way too much. That stiff front end doesnt seem to work to well....He has a few more years in him and can certainly pull it off...but will he???
... I meant to say... Bret was Reeds biggest fan....that award should have gone to RV as well....but I guess since Reed didnt win much this year and no title...he had to win something......Reed retires????
Tickle and Seely clearly closet butt buddies.....If I was with Honda I would be disappointed with his decisions at Vegas!!!!! At least Cunningham is on a different brand fighting for his first podium of the year!!!!!!!
Stewart crashes a lot...and everyone calls him "stupid"..."dangerous" etc..... So as much as I like K-Dub .... If you know JS is most likely going down....DONT FOLLOW HIM in the section he is most likely to crash in.... I blame a gust of wind on that one anyway !!! HAHAHAHAHA...
Glad RV raced with Reed a bit then let him go and Reed didnt do anything dirty......I was hoping RD would get Reed at the end but a great night of racing overall and Reed wins his last SX race he enters..... Retiring ???
What a windy dusty mess that entire day was.....RV souned like he had a cold from all the dust and I abosutley LOVED when he buried Reed with roost.....
Tomac was bumped, and banged until he made a little mistake and then lost the championship. He did hang on and did a great job.
I was not impressed as the race finished and they said nothing about Kenny winning the race or even an interview for winning the west coast lites. Come on Guys. He killed everyone in that race.
If anyone happened too notice,Windham was not following Erkle (stewart) through the whoops, erkle swapped it hard & went into windhams committed line. Erkle has taken out almost every factory (and Reed) rider.this year. I think AMA & FIM needs too come down on Stewart (Erkle) about this problem he seems too be having!! Congrats too all the champions on a very awesome season. Let the Outdoors begin!! Erkle stay home please lol
K-Dub landed further down the track after JS7 wadded it up (again) in front of KW14 (this time) causing K-Dubs' crash...
Therefore, shouldn't K-Dub be credited with 15th and Stewart 16th?
ride111mph has a point. While everyone (myself included) was losing their mind over the title races, Roczen went out and laid down the gauntlet for next years 250 (W or E?) showdown. PC & GEICO, you now have some competition.........Is it just me or is Sipes ready for a bigger bike?
Props to whoever is building the Star YZ250F's (Allan Brown?), Sipes & Cunningham certainly have not been lacking horsepower this season.
For the JS7 loyalists and the KW14 detractors, just watch a replay of the Moment; KW14 was not following JS7 and it looked like Windham was on his way to passing Stewart within another several corners...
... Should have pointed out that JS7 started his 'swap-stutter-stumble' dance in the middle of the track and landed on the inside (left) entering the turn.
K-Dub committed to the left lane coming out of the previous corner and had no where to go once Stewart landed in a heap on the left side of the track in K-Dub's line.
Try braking or turning on those monster-sized whoops, at that speed, in the heat of battle, final race of the season... low percentage chance of continuing past Stewart at that point.
They're both d@mn lucky to have walked away from that one -though Stewart looked like he might have tweaked a knee (hopefull nothing worse)...
Had Stewart endo-ed 'forward' or to the 'right' instead to the left, it would have bee a great battle between K-Dub, Reed & Dungey for the "W".
Let's hope the both of them are okay do the entire OUTDOOR SEASON...,
could be as EPIC as the SUPERCROSS season!
Best season since 2006. Congrats to RV. Well deserved, especially coming off that injury. Reed and Dungey showed remarkable consistency and speed. Even Stewart had his moments winning 5 races and he remains a tremendous talent.
I have noticed something. Stewart's reputation has taken a serious hit this season. I do like him, he is very fast, he has a certain charm and he has revolutionized aspects of riding. There are his haters, lovers, and everything between. Unfortunately, the haters are gaining numbers very quickly.
These message boards have been riddled with a lot of criticism this season and in spite of the defense of his faithful, he has some serious PR issues going on and people are really bashing him. I think he needs to run outdoors to get his swagger back and show he can keep it on two wheels. As I have said before, this sport is much better with him in there than without him.
P.S. Those were the ugliest glasses I have every seen! Unless they allow him to see through clothing, big mistake! I actually thought it was a joke at first.
I think Stewies glasses were for protection from all the wind and dust, but they were a litte Erkle-ish and that is James having a good time.....I put my sunglasses on during the night a few times as I am sure the dust was worse track level....RV sounded like he was having some allergy/dust issues as well from the sound of his voice through out the day....it was pretty bad out there
Great season...congrats RV !!! Stewart was riding so smooth and then all the sudden like we have seen all year he just loses it....I dont get it....He used to "look" like he was ging to crash and have close calls but didnt....now he rides smooth and fast then BAM....down he goes...guess it is just the pressure....
I thought it was hilarious when Erin called him Erkle to his face and him immediately taking them off! As far as the Fan thing, I think James (like Hanson) won a lot of new fans early but then lost the same number in the end. He's always won or crashed and it has made him a polar figure. I feel no different towards him. He's a good kid and this year I think he tried too hard to stand out and it bit him. He rode a good pace in '09 and he shoud've stuck with that. Bummed if he doesn't race outdoors.
Stewart is losing ground for more than one reason,he should have never let Aldon baker go,everyone knows where Aldon goes, theres a championship comin, look what he did for the "GOAT" now RV2,he is definately worth whatever he's paid, then too let Larry Brooks go? bad move... sorry James but big daddy doesnt cut it.follow Alessis lead & make Dad stay out of the picture,no disrespect too either father, cause the boys wouldnt be where they are now but theres a time when too know when too bow out! theyre not mini dads no more, let the teams do their jobs without interference from dad.Im looking forward too the day when both little brothers smoke theyre older siblings.. Good Job Reedy!! Lets take the Outdoors by storm!!
GOTTA LOVE STEWIE AND HIS NEW GLASSES!!!!!
http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=erkle+pictures&view=detail&id=375DA3EE5EEF4738A2B7BECDE46BACD41E5F2C82&first=31&FORM=IDFRIR
I wish Stewart could/ve done better. I hope soneone can put a program together for him to do the outdoors and MXON, 2011. I wonder if Jame's contract would permit him to be sponsored by some one else. He can always go back to San Mauel for next years SX. I am just hope to see JS7 amazing talent outdoors, for at least one more season before he retires.
JS7 - If you're going to be a big TV star, then focus on that.... If you're going to be a big Supercross star, then focus on that. But it's obvious that trying to do both is too distracting.
Also..... STOP HURTING OTHER RIDERS. Does anyone know the exact number of other riders JS7 have injured or taken out over the years? Last year he about killed that privateer when he crossed over on him over the triple, this year I know he did the same to at least 2 privateers, then Sat night he yard-saled himself while riding over his head and took our Windham. I also know that Tedesco would point to the take out a few years back as the point that his career took a bad turn.
If JS7 is going by the whole "if I hurt all my competitors then I will win" approach he's on his way, good job man!....... Just hope you don't kill yourself in the process.
SLOWER IS FASTER YOUNG MAN......
What a team for mx of nat this year, with villo, dunge and canard all on the boil. Add shorty or wind as a reserve, look out world!
lol. It cracks me up to see that some of the keyboard jockey's on here think that Windham "followed" Bubba's line through those whoops.... WRONG! Kevin entered the whoops on the opposite side of Bubba, it's just that when Bubba got out of control (shoker) he came over into Kevin's line. To the squids who don't know out there - you can't just stop in the middle of a whoop section and change direction unless you want to get out of control and crash (see: Bubba).
