reed..zero respect..this is motocross..if bubba woulda stopped,he woulda jumped off the fkn track! everyone jumped on his bandwagon last week, where are yall now? lemme guess, bubba deserved it? because every "risky" pass he made,he didnt even touch reed! dave despains report on the race really showed the stupidity of reed
I have a question...."if bubba woulda stopped, he woulda jumped off the fkn track!" How WOULD HAVE Bubba jumped off the track if he was stopped? I just don't understand.
Foyboy, despain was wrong. Stewart did contact reed, you can see it if you have eyes. Stewart could have stopped and he messed with reed the whole last lap. He could have raced back to second, but his stupidity only got him to fourth place. brilliant. FOYBOY IS A FUDGEPACKER
Its ok for Hansen to take out people but soon as reed does it everybody freaks out! He was going for the win.
The last lap.. Stewie was not riding to finish but to mess up with Reed.. Which was stupid.. I agree.. Even though the block pass of Reed was a tad aggressive.. He should have just focused on salvaging what ever he could... Stewie is a slow learner.. Damn...
Again... Reed is known for his aggressive riding.. I reckon not only JS but RV & RD can be worried now as Reed has dialled in the bike in such.. He can run with the front runners.. And you know Reed... Ha,ha..
Daytona should be interesting... If ever JS & CR run up front.. Ha,ha... How patethic it would be for the rest of the field?
#22 is dirty, he knows he isn't as good as #7 and he has to make up for it by pure desperation moves. #22 is in his swan song and will only have a few more moments before he is relegated to 5th, 6th ..... just like Windham. Enjoy the spotlight for a few more minutes #22, you are just not as good or classy as #7. Go Stewart! Stay classy Daytona.....
What Reed did is called a "Block Pass". They are very common in motocross racing. I think a dose of factory Honda power has upped Reed's game. I assume underneath the two-two livery is the #33 factory bike. Wharton's crash killed me. Man, that guy was GONE. It seems all of the crashes lately are front end slide-outs, what's up with that???
Need to get used to the fact that stewart has competion now. We all have to eat humblepie.
like stewart has never taken anybody out such crybabies
Carlsbad a block pass is done in a slow speed corner not a corner where someone can rail the outside in 3rd IMO it was a dumb move with VERY VERY little chance of it turning out good for either one of them.
Carlsbad, I would characterize it as a "block crash". And, I would respectfully disagree that this type of move is "common" in motocross racing. If it was guys like Dungey and Villipoto would win back to back and their first championships with ease.
The reason for the low slides or pushing is the front forks on all SX bike are very very stiff. Late braking without heavily loading the front wheel causes most of this. The bikes are set up for the whoops and jumps.
22 is no dirtier than 7 or 100 or 17 or 41 or 25 or 193 or 801 or .......
Reed was running with Stewart for the entire race. The way the race was going, it was going to come down to who made the least amount of mistakes. Reed forced the issue and I think it makes for a way more exciting race. Just consider all this discussion about the move on Stewart, it adds drama and makes the whole season more exciting. Now everyone is looking forward to Daytona to see what will happen next.
So Cooks61 quit snilveling, BTW as cool as Windham is, he is no Chad Reed. CR has two supercross titles. He won the previous race and came really close to winning this race. The only reason Windham had a chance to win a few weeks ago was becasue all the contenders got tied up at the start.
BTW.. Foyboy is an idiot.
DUNGEY RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!! (except when Villopoto, Reed, Stewart or Canard are in the same race)
The best part of the Lites race was seeing Barcia get run off the track, even if it was inadvertant. The "always cool" Barcia sure did get pissed off when it happened to him. When he does it to other riders it is "just racing". It was cool to see Wilson come through the pack and win!
Haha wow you saying #7 is classy? You are definitely a bubbles nutsack suckler. How many times has #7 landed on somebody, punted somebody, wrecked somebody else? Get over it you douchebag. Racing is racing. Reed has what it takes to run up front and he shows it. They are both dominate and agressive and do what it takes to win. Sounds like everybody crying about this crap has been punted off the track and now sits in front of their computers crying about it. When did Motocross fans become such pu$$ie$.
The leader determines the pace, if he is at a dead stop, then that is the pace. If it was illegal in any way the AMA would've stepped in. Not to talk down to you BillC but, a block pass is about taking position away from the other rider, not neccessarily relative speed. This racing thing often comes down to a chess game of position, opportunity and compet*tive spirit. Reed, by doing what he did, had the position on Stewart. Stewarts reaction time was either off or he was comitted to a "pick-up pass" (whoever picks their bike up first makes the pass). had the tables been turned, I'd be saying the same thing. Stewart was passed, he could've acquiesed the lead but he chose otherwise. I perceive your premise as "Stewart was on the gas, going really fast therefore, Reed should've stayed out of the way". Apparently he wasn't going fast enough because he was behind Reed when this happened.
Calrsbad, you don't need to fell bad about talking down to Bill C, he does it to people al lthe time.
Carlsbad I agree, My point was how offten do you see that move in a high speed turn?? Almost Never. YZFSEAN.... Do you still think I am crazy for saying RD can't beat JS or RV last year?? Maybe you should say BillC You were right. Also I don't talk down to anyone, If you take it that way thats not my fault. I just give my opion like everyone else on here. Maybe I don't suger coat it so it come across that way.
Hey Bill C.. just having fun with ya, my log on name is yz"f"sean, it is a parody of yzsean who has not shown his face on this site since the beginning of the SX season. It is my way of poking fun at him for all of his "DUNGEY RULES" comments.
Yeah, for certain I'd never pull that but, I gotta work monday and all that, while those guys are doing this for their paychecks. It was a move we've all been talking about and (hopefully) more is in store. Whoever said in one of these posts that we have to stop whining about racers racing was dead-on. I think momentum has shifted from one rider to the next to another one and so on. It's great we have a five man group to talk (type) about where historically it's either been a one or two horse race. I don't have a favorite in that group and my guy(s) in all likelyhood aren't going to pull a win unless something truly odd happens but I do think that level of commitment will be necessary for one man to stand atop the rest come May.
