Ricky Carmichael has been keeping very busy during his retirement. We met up with RC this past weekend to talk with him about designing the Daytona supercross track this year, his new video game, and also about the upcoming Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross Championship and Ricky Carmichael University. No one could ever be compared to this guy, not in this life time. He is a true champion and a true class act. Never has this guy had an excuse for a race lose or a complaint of his bikes or track. He always took full responsibility for everything and always gave FULL credit to the other riders, not like Stewart who gives all kinds of excuses and "then" says but they rode good, then its just meaningless to say.

Yep RC is a true Champion.. Never made excuses... Trained extra hard to step up and smoke MC into retirement... He takes the time to try and make projects that help other people.. MC just focuses on how can i squeeze some more $ outta the moto system cuz i was the King... And will bounce from sponsor to sponsor for some loot...

@phatboy ..how could you say Mcgrath doesn't give back..and for your info on Mc jumping sponsors...he still get's love from honda after all these years...and thor dropped him and pastrana..or MC would still be rocking that stuff...of course Ricky is a real role model...he is/was/will be the best for a long time, the best to ever ride a dirtbike..and he justs keeps showing why he was the best..he worked harder, and never got*****y....both of those 2 make motorcross an amazing sport to be a part of..

Ricky would easily have McGrath's supercross record wins if he didn't retire so early!!!!! He had NOTHING left to prove he is the GOAT!!!!!! Phatboy your right on, MC went into retirement when someone had him covered!!!! He's still trying to milk sponsers for all he can! If MC really wants to help the sport, WHY doesn't MC start a race team to help up and coming riders or something like that?

It's great to see "The Goat" but I like the "Hot Blonde" come in the picture at 2:59 to 3:23. NICE!

Everyone who says MC is milking the sponsors in MX is an idiot! You don't think these companies want to have someone like MC representing them? He helped make SX/MX what it is today,,,Ricky is the man and I am sure he would say how much respect he has for MC. Obviously you people (phatboy and yzf125) have NO idea what your talking about.

just hop on a 2 stroke and do one supercross or outdoor!

Ricky is the best ever. No one has dominated a sport as much as RC has. Not Jordan, not Gretzky, not Tiger... NO ONE. I bet if you gave him a couple months to train, he would win the 2011 Outdoor title. Hands down.

The GREATEST OF ALL TIME, easily. Even if some haters say different, they dont know anything of the sport or they are enamoured or have huge man-crushes on another rider. His numbers speak for themselves. Waxed every challenge that came his way. Alot of talent, and even more heart. And NEVER made excuse if he lost a race. NEVER bad-mouthed his competition. A class act.

I'm liking the HD vids. I wish for what 824 said... Ricky to come back for 1 or 2 races a year on a 2 stroke. That'd be sick. Do it up RC!

What's with all the people dissing MC? He might not be the greatest all-around rider of all time, but he's the greatest Supercross rider ever. Yes, Ricky beat him, after MC had already been racing in the big bike class for 8 years. Ricky wasn't well on his way to stomping MC's SX record when he retired either. Reed beat him regularly on 2 strokes and Stewart denied the GOAT plenty of wins. And complaining about a retired guy changing sponsors? Are you serious? Let the guy make a (very f-ing good) living people. Oh, and MC had the opportunity to go car racing. He CHOSE not to begin a new 4 wheeled career, opting instead to keep working with Honda and occasionally go truck racing. Ricky is a great champion and the greatest all-around motocross racer ever. He also pretty much invented the Robot Podium Speech and literally threatened to shoot people when he lost (ask Matthes). Nobody's perfect, so let's lay off The King, shall we?

I'd like to see Ricky lay down some fast laps at a supercross just to see where he would stack up in qualifying.

I got to see RC throw the sickest whip ever over Larocco's Leap on the final lap at Red Bud the last time he raced there. He was so far upside down and backwards that I thought "there is no way he can bring that back around in time!" Of course he landed it perfectly. I miss seeing him race.

gotucovered, why rip on MC.? He retired because he was on a KTM and crashed and pushed dislocated his hip and almost shoved his leg bone through his skin. Donmt rip a guy if you dont know the details of what you are talking about. MC is the greatest supercross champ ever. His win total is amazing and may never be topped. Everyone has their time, and everyone finally has someone come along and take their title and beats them, except RC. Its why he is the GOAT. But MC is the King of Supercross. He doesnt cheat anyone, he still loves the sport.

Somewhere on here, somebody said "ricky carmichael invented the podium 'robot' speech" (referring to rd). Think about it hard. If you were on the top step of the podium practically EVERY week, would you be able to come up with something 'different' to say EACH time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rickey is the man and always will be. Stewart is a great rider but when it comes to personality his arrogance stands out loud and clear. Stweart has already forgotten where he came from and any failure is and never has been his own fault. RC and MC have class, respectful of the other guy and there abillity or lack of they just appreciate that they can race win and enjoy the life style that they have worked hard for many years, my hat is off too both of them and my thumbs are down to Stewey!!!!!
