Dang....he looks really fast! He looks like he is just straight attacking the track. Awesome. Can I just say that it sure would be cool to see him race over here and watch how he stacks up against us.

do you think that ktm will stay with a true 350 or could/would they consider going slightly bigger like a 380 or maybe 400? technically the rule for the class is 450cc max...

That was awesome!! I know he is riding solo out there in the video, but he looks pretty damn fast and aggressive on that 350!! I also think it would be great to have him over here racing sometime, he seems like a good guy and is welcome here in my book!!!

Cairoli is the best in outdoor in europe... And looks like he & KTM will win the championship with relative ease....
He is scheduled to participate in some MX events later this year.. And here all depends on the results.. They are good.. I can see him make the move full time over here... They are not.. He will just stick it out in europe... Playing it safe...

Rumours is that he didn't ride a 350 in the gp's last year. It's slightly bigger, like 380 or something. Don't know exactly how much. But the competion still have more ccm. So he is the man

He is fast, but if he comes outdoors, he will have a hard time against Stewie RV2 and Dungey. If all the guys are on, he may not even podium. Dungey already showed he is faster, and I dont think Dungey can touch Stewie and RV2 outdoors. And thats not taking in Canard, and Pourcel if he finds a ride. AARON HANSEL I agree they sounded good, if you liked them, check out BLACK TIDE, they soound just like them..

that 350 still looks like a piece of shit. Cairoli does a good job of trying to make it look good, but he cant let off the throttle....if he does the bike just doesnt have any grunt to get going again. No matter how hard KTM keeps pushing these PR AD's, the bike is a flop.

Cairoli has won the world championship in Europe, nothing more to prove there, he should race in the US if he wants real recognition, he has to beat the boys over here, which I think he would have a hard time doing, in my mind he's not really the world champion, as he never beat RC or Bubba or Dungey or Villipoto, among others!

Cairoli is the man. He was hanging with Dungey for a while in the MXDN in alltiude, he was very fast to say he was 100cc down. TJay your an ass, how can you say he is not the world champion, he raced the best riders of the world championship and smoked them. If Carmichael was so fast why did he not come prove he was the best of the WORLD, not just USA. Like wise to the other riders you mentioned, he will be fast if he rides outdoor AMA.

Profile Picture
JordanL111 wrote: 2:05pm January 27, 2011

Can I just say for anyone who says the 350 is a crap bike that, I believe Cairoli won at Glen Helen GP last year on it being stuck in 3rd gear for the last 20mins of the race, and yet he still thrashed everyone. I hate to say it, but maybe Americans just don't know how to ride the 350.

Profile Picture
ADB_Ant wrote: 5:14pm January 27, 2011

Cairoli's running a big bore kit which takes it out to 389.8cc. We're soon to get our hands on the kit down here in Aussie - as they say "there's no replacement for displacement!" (cheers Ross ;) )

Profile Picture
mx75 wrote: 5:20pm January 27, 2011

shame the American guys cant ride the 350 like that! but you still hear all the Americans giving out the excuses "the 350 is under powered" yeh right Europe all the way

Profile Picture
jocki ryan wrote: 8:52pm January 27, 2011

hay tj.. your missing the point. its not a case or him beating rc or rv or bubba or any of them. its those guys who havnt beaten the world champ.. des nations in lommel belgium 2012 then you americans will see real defeat.

WTF is up with all the hate on this dude!? If you don't think he's blazing with that KTM then you need another hit on whatever you're smoking. That dude is fast and would love to see him race the Nationals here. It would finally give that bike some merit. You see Alessi get lapped last Sat night? Shorty saying he needs to ride it like a 250f? Granted that 350 is somewhat new, but it def needs to be retooled.

Caroli doesn't deserve props for hanging with people because he's on a shit bike. He's not saying he's at a disadvantage, it was his choice and he's losing to guys like Dungey at the euro's biggest race of the year. lol Caroli won't do ANYTHING in the states. He can't hang with poto, stewart, dungey we know already. We also know he flops every time he goes against the real talented americans in a big race. Has he ever performed like he should against any decent talent. He should stay over there where there is ZERO talent and NO ONE wants to be. He thinks the 'top five' are fast in SX? He will never even qualify if he ever has the balls to try which I doubt. Just like Everts, he wasn't shit, only raced at home on his backyard tracks where any rider can go fast. Don't race against the best ever never, but still claim you can be considered a best at anything? Oh my Everts once raced with stewart. Overrated. and caroli is the most overhyped piece of shit that's come around in the last ten years. Prove yourself, because you haven't won shit. For the GP's to say it's the world title is soo stupid and laughable, only the guys who race it believe it. A name doesn't mean you have any any talent whatsoever. Look at Roczen, through him in SX where he thinks he will do something and he cries and has to be Carried off the track!!! You think you know something about american motocross or supercross? Race it first and see how bad you suck first.

Profile Picture
bd200 wrote: 11:18pm January 27, 2011

KTMKID, he isnt the "World Champion" because he hasnt beat the best the "WORLD" has to offer. He is a GP Champion. Why would RC want to race in Europe when the fastest are in the AMA Nationals?? Caroili is fast, nobody said he is slow, but he would not take a title here in the US. No way, he would not beat Dungey , RV2 or Stewie (if he raced) for a title, I'm not sure he would win a race. If he races here at all, how much would you bet its Unadilla. Because its the most Euro design of all the tracks. Just like the one all Euro's show up to race.

Profile Picture
ktmkid111 wrote: 4:57am January 28, 2011

He is the world Champion as he races in the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. Not a difficult concept to understand. If the AMA guys think they are the best in the world, come race in the world championship. He has 4 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS. And to the dude who said Cairoli went to sh*t agaisnt some real talent, you are clearly forgetting Matterey Basin 2006, he came from like 8th place, smoked RV, smoked Townley, smoked Tedesco and then proceeded to win the race, and even managed to get a nac nac in there on the last lap. And Dungey, Townley was hanging with him many times last season, and Cairoli is quicker than him. Pourcel will be very fast in the nationals, as well as Cairoli if he races some of the ama's.

Profile Picture
JordanL111 wrote: 6:00am January 28, 2011

I see everyone forgot Glen Helen last year in the GPs, where Cairoli beat everyone even some top American riders while bean stuck in 3rd gear for 20mins of the race

Profile Picture
bd200 wrote: 8:57am January 28, 2011

How can a series that races only in Europe be a "World Championship"?? Europe is not the whole world, that is an easy concept to figure out. Europe is just one continent is this entire Earth. The FIM in all their egotastic B.S. can call it what they want. Everyone knows the fastest race the U>S. Nationals. Look what the two former GP champs have done here. Searle and Rattrey havent done a single thing. One overall win between the two. And Pourcel has yet to win a single title and couldnt get a ride for supercross. And Jordan, what Top American riders did he beat?? Alessi?? What did he do last year?? Nothing at all, just like now. He couldnt qualify for the main at supercross.. Caroli didnt beat any top riders at Glen Helen. He is fast, no argument there, but he would not win in the U.S. Nationals.. ktmkid, you throw out these races were Cairoli beat Townely, who cares, Motocross Des Nations, Dungey beat him twice, nuff said..And he isnt our fastest rider.

Profile Picture
JordanL111 wrote: 2:26pm January 28, 2011

Think this prooves how fast Cairoli can actually go, 2009 Des Nations, he beat Chad Reed, well we all know how fast Reed is, so if he can beat him, Cairoli is for sure a contender in AMA, anyway us fans can say this and that, but the only truth is if Cairoli goes to AMA after next year

Profile Picture
MvEStyle wrote: 2:57pm January 28, 2011

There was a guy named Clément Desalle. He came to the USA and borrowed an Suzuki with suspension he didn't know. He was competing Unadilla and gave Ryan Dungey a run for his money, finished second on a unknown track and defeated the rest of the field. In that field there was a guy named "the fastest man on a dirt bike" also called "Boebba" or "Bubba" don't know for sure how you yanks and Red Necks call him. And he got beaten by the "Slow" European thats f*ck*ng ironic isn't it? He also beaten guys like Short, Windham, Metcalfe, Josh Grant, Kyle Regal and Brayton. So if you think we are going slow think again. If you think that Cairoli will win the Grand Prix series easily think again. If you think that we Europeans are to slow to compete for a Outdoor title think again. You Americans are really full of your own!

All of you Euro trash need to look at the history of the MXoN. The only time since 1982 you punks could manage a win is when there was injury or a mechanical involved. We consistantly kick global ass despite fighting fuel issues, protests and any other excuse you fags can come up with. You dumbasses think because DeSalle beat JS7 at Dilla' he can win a US title? We send "World Chumps" home on a regular basis defeated and beaten. You guys havent even mentioned RV2 whippin' Ravioli's ass at Budds Creek on a 250F! He gives up and makes more excuses than that jackass Chad Reed when getting beat. Face the music, you guy's are really good soccer players, but we are the dominate moto force on the planet. By the way, ever wonder why guy's who can't make here go to Europe and still make a living? Funny huh?

So many of these posts make me laugh. I would love to see Caroli here racing the nationals, it would make the the racing that much more exciting. I think he would do good over here, even win some races. You can not predict if he would win the championship, there are just too many variables involved, new lifestyle, new tracks, injuries, different bike regulations, etc. A lot of world champs came over and had a hard time racing here though. He would definately need to skip the SX series though, that has always proved an achilies heel for guys coming over and busting themselves up before the nationals.

And trying to say Caroli has not beat this rider or that rider in one or two races they raced each other means nothing. There is only one winner at each race. If AC was here racing the full series, 24 motos, he will beat some of our guys at some races. Could he win the chamionship? I personally don't think so, but you never know.
