This is the first time the gate will drop in Dodger Stadium for a Monster Energy Supercross race
Dodger Stadium is the 40th new venue to host a Monster Energy Supercross event.
The last new city to host a Monster Energy Supercross races was Jacksonville, Fla., in 2009

James Stewart has now won at least one Supercross class race for seven consecutive years. He is now tied with Chad Reed for 3rd in this feat. Jeremy Mcgrath leads this category with nine seasons followed by Jeff Ward with 8 seasons

For the first two races of the season, the top five riders at both stops have been the same riders: James Stewart, Ryan Villopoto, Chad Reed, Ryan Dungey, and Trey Canard.
Yamaha has now won a Supercross class main event for 15 consecutive seasons. This is currently the longest active win streak. Honda and Kawasaki also had 15 year win streaks

Is Los Angeles considered a new city to supercross since they race about 3 times a year in Anaheim, it is a suburb of LA and all.
Just the dodger stadium is a new venue! its not new going to L.A. many of the greatest races in supercross history were at the L.A. Coliseum.
why don't we have some more venues in the midwest or northeast. Used to have Pontiac... no more.... now we have to travel 5 hours each way to see it live in indy or 8 hours for St. Louis. Supercross is in the winter and we have covered stadiums.. but they do most of the races in Cali (5), Florida (2) Then there is Georgia (warm), Texas (2) (warm), Lost Wages (warm), Phoenix (warm), Seattle (kinda warm and west coast again). that leaves indy, toronto.... need a passport to see this one..St. Louis, and Salt Lake as the only colder climes..... all I can say is Thank goodness for the speed channel. Look at attendance figures for Motocross.... and Red Bud..... we midwestern motocrossers support our sport....now how bout a little payback.... Bring back Michigan Supercross
