Wil Hahn

Rumor has it that New England privateer rider Jimmy DeCotis is on a plane to California right now to fill-in for the injured Wil Hahn on the GEICO Powersports Honda team. Hahn, a pre-season title contender in the Western Regional Lites class, hurt his back yesterday in practice and did not race. Stay tuned to Racer X Online as we learn more.

My grandfather was a straight up Boston baked bean and telling him New York was in New England would've been a sight indeed......With the exception of Texans, New Englanders are probably the most rabid "homers" there are, EVER!! Also, while racing in "upstate" new york, telling people I was from CA was like asking them to spit on me. On the other hand, folks from Mass. were awesome.

As the announcer for Southwick MX 338 for over a decade, I have followed Jim Decotis since he started on a PW. About 3 years ago I knew he was coming of age with great NESC results and dominating at the Unadilla Amateur events. He has had some great guidence and support along the way but he will blossom with true support. Go Jimmy!!!
