Your Collection: 1987 Cagiva WMX125
Saturday, November 13, 2010 | 2:10 PM
This week's collection comes from Summerville, SC's Atila Stolf:
"Here is my 1987 Cagiva WMX125. I raced a bike just like this back in the 80s in Brazil and found this not too long ago. This is brand new (never ridden); feels like it was frozen in time. I haven't even put gas in it even though I'd love to, but I've got another 1988 WMX250 that I ride sometimes."

Wow, Never Ridden!!! why cant I be that lucky. I guess I need to start looking around more. funny thing is, I have the same problem with girl friends... thanks for posting.
That is a gorgeous bike. I raced one as a pro in the 80's in SoCal. Very snappy powerband for a 125 in that era.Congrats on finding a never-ridden bike like this one.
Wow!!! That is very cool... Any thought on what it would be worth?
i had an 87 cagiva 125 but mine had black radiator shrouds.very cool bike
If you want to see one in action you can youtube it. the first one I saw Mike healey brought to the golden state nationas in 1987. If you youtube mike healey 1987 you can watch him on it at the golden states and the world gps in 87 and 88. They do a great profile from american sports calvalcade on the bike. Joe
Do you want to ride a cagiva..... just buy a new Husky 125 same motor.
That's a cool bike. Only the rich kids had stuff like this back in the day.
at the golden states in jan 88....healey holeshot every moto on those things by a length. he was flying on it....i saw it when he lapped me..lol
no, they were cheap. i bought a new one for $1399 back in 87. they beat the YZ 125 in the MXA shootout and sales took off.
