A Letter to the Motocross Community from Ryan Mills #167
I felt I needed to write this letter to the industry, fans and friends to let you all know about some scary and damaging things that are going on in my life right now.
Someone created a Ryan Mills Facebook profile and has been pretending to be me for a long time. At first I let it go because I figured some people do weird and stupid things. Then it came to my attention that this crazy person was truly pretending to be me, having detailed conversations with sponsors, friends and girls and posting pictures of me that I don't even have. Anyone who thinks they are friends with me, Ryan Mills, on Facebook is wrong. It is not me. I have never had a Facebook profile and I am not on MySpace either.
This is damaging to my character, reputation and relationships. I am not the same 17 year old kid that I used to be. I am working my butt off trying to recover from my broken back last year and being a privateer. My days consist of working on my own bike, figuring out how to get to the next race and practicing yoga with my longtime girlfriend and trainer, Regina.
I do not know how crazy this person is. My motorcycle was stolen 6 weeks ago from my house. Four weeks later we were broken into again and someone stole all of Regina's jewelry and our watches. We are getting emails and texts from other girls who thought they were dating me but are now being threatened by this person. This is also extremely disrespectful to my relationship with Regina, my trainer and future wife.
Please REMOVE RYAN MILLS from your Facebook. It is NOT me. If anyone has info on who this is, please call the NY State Police in Gardiner at 845.256.0536.
Thank you for your support and understanding. I take my career very seriously and I am grateful to anyone who helps put an end to this.

that sucks Ryan! Hope things turn around to the +. Facebook and My space should cooperate with the law to bring this idiot to justice. You could also find a computer nerd to track him and give the police an address.
Someone from Facebook should be able to get an IP address from this user. I had a friend who had a similar situation in which some people created a facebook page about them with a lot of negative info and comments, they were able to get Facebook to shut it down.
Call FBI I bet they can find the guy. Thats just one of the best things we have in this Great Country. Whoever the guy is they will find him.
Sounds ALOT like the "Motosquid" thing on ronronmx where someone pretended to be Donnie Mcgourty and actually almost got arrested because of it.
Ryan, this is a felony and this person can and should be prosecuted. This type of thing is rampant. I had someone angry with me post my name on craigslist with my phone number for same sex hookups. there also was a policeman in Grand Rapids Mi. whose name was posted similarly. The purpetrator is looking at 4 years in the clink. all I can say is good luck with your recovery and God Bless Rschuite
I've been saying it for years.... NOTHING good can come from Facebook or Twitter.....and this situation is very scary... I hope Ryan and Regina are okay, and they catch this scumbag quickly....There are SOOOOOO many stories of someone on TwitterFace pretending to be someone they are not.... these two mediums are more dangerous than they are good.....everything was fine when people just sent pics and letters via email..... I hate Facebook....
I wish someone would steal my identity and hook me up with some hot chicks. I wouldn't complain at all.
i remember back in the early 90's some guy trying to pick up my girlfriend in a bar while i was hanging with the boys. He told her he was some pro-snowboarder, can't remember his name..i went over and looked at him, laughed and called him out. I had been snowboarding for 10 years by then and new who the pros were... he felt like a d*ck and left..it was pretty sad actually.
