Murrieta, CA - MotoConcepts Yamaha is saddened to announce 450 rider Matt Goerke crashed today in a technical rhythm section while training for the upcoming 2010 Supercross series. Matt sustained a broken right lower leg and will have surgery in the next twenty-four hours. His recovery time has not yet been determined.
“This is very unfortunate for Matt and the team," said MotoConcepts Yamaha Team Manager, Michael Young. “Matt has been training very hard and was looking forward to the start of the 2010 season. We all wish Matt a speedy recovery and his YZ450F will be waiting for his healthy return," continued Young.
Testing and training continues for the other members of MotoConcepts Yamaha as they prepare for the Supercross series. Dan Reardon (450), Jeff Alessi (250w), Travis Baker (250W), Ryan Sipes (250E), and Vince Friese (250E) complete the 2010 team.
