"This is 1989 and I can totally remember this cover. As I was moving through the ranks and all that, I tended to look to the next thing, the next thing and these things didn’t impact me the way they should have. In hindsight though, it’s so cool to be on the cover of a major publication. At that stage in my life though, I still wanted to be a Ricky Johnson or whomever and didn’t stop to look at those types of things...."
