John Dowd was featured in the Boston Globe yesterday in a section titled “What Were They Thinking” on the second page of the sports section. Writer Stan Grossfeld has a weekly feature in which he takes a picture of an athlete and discusses what goes through their mind as they are performing the maneuver. He came out to the track on Friday and spent some time with John Dowd. The jump used was the finish line.
