Fly Riders Fill 8 of 22 Spots in Detroit Lites Main Event

Detroit, Michigan, April 16, 2008

The Monster Energy Supercross Series made its 14th stop of the year this past weekend in Detroit, Michigan at Ford Field. Outside it was raining, windy and cold, but inside it was perfect weather for a dominating night of racing for Fly Racing.

Lites Main Event

Out of 22 riders on the gate for the Lites main event, eight of them were Fly Racing Riders. Off the gate it was riders Ryan Morais, Kyle Partridge, Tyler Bowers and Kyle Keylon all inside the top ten, with Morais being the big story of the night moving from 5th to 2nd in five laps to finish 2nd, giving Fly yet another podium finish. Tyler Bowers also had a great ride finishing 6th overall.

Lites Main Event Fly Racing Rider Results:

2nd Place - Ryan Morais
6th Place - Tyler Bowers
7th Place - Kyle Partridge
11th Place - Kyle Keylon
13th Place - Nathan Skaggs
14th Place - Billy Payne
16th Place - Grey Davenport
22nd Place - Matt Boni

All Fly Racing Lites riders qualified for the Main Event this weekend.

SX Main Event

As the gate dropped Fly riders Andrew Short, Jason Thomas, Shaun Skinner, and Keith Johnson all were inside the top ten. Consistency paid off yet again for Andrew Short as he moved from 7th to 5th place where he would finish the main. Jason Thomas had another great night of racing to finish 10th.

5th Place - Andrew Short
10th Place - Jason Thomas
14th Place - Ryan Clark
16th Place - Keith Johnson
19th Place - Shaun Skinner
