The Toyota 20
Friday, July 20, 2007 | 8:23 AMWelcome to the Toyota 20, where we'll be showcasing some of the top amateur racers in the country for the next month. The TMX Toyota Athlete Program is off and running as we inch closer to the 2007 Air Nautiques AMA Amateur National Championships at Loretta Lynn’s, which runs from July 30 to August 4, 2007. For those who aren’t familiar, TMX is designed to support motocross on a grassroots level by moving riders forward from the amateur ranks to the professional level. The opportunity to earn a professional ride with a factory-supported team, a new Toyota truck and Toyota sponsorship for 2008 is in the balance, and the list of eligible riders has been narrowed down to 20 of the nation’s best amateurs in the country. So as the big race nears, we’ve decided to highlight “The Toyota 20” in the upcoming weeks.
Today's featured rider is Maryland's William Duffy. You can view his TMX Profile by clicking here. Stay tuned to Racer X Online everyday for the next featured Toyota 20 rider.
