Team MotoSport Kawasaki is gearing up for the start of the East Regional Supercross Series, which begins this weekend in Atlanta, Ga.  Riders Matt Boni and Bob Kiniry will be competing in the seven-round East coast series aboard Kawasaki KX™250F motorcycles.

Hailing from Geneva, Fla., Boni will be making his professional debut this weekend at Atlanta.  Boni, who gave the KX250F its first-ever amateur motocross championship, is looking forward to starting his pro career in the East.

“I like the tracks in the East – the dirt is tackier, which is what I’m used to,” said Boni. “I’ve really been able to get used to the tracks in California too, though, so I feel like I am prepared for any kind of track.”

Kiniry, of Skaneateles, N.Y., enters his fifth year of AMA Supercross/Motocross Lites competition. Kiniry, a former Team Green™ rider, scored four top-ten finishes racing the East in 2006.

Both riders have been testing and training with the team in California since November, and are anxious and ready to race. With ample time to test, much of the last few weeks have been spent fine-tuning the settings for each rider.

“I’m really comfortable with the bike; I feel like it has been ready to go for about a month or so and we are just making it better and better,” said Kiniry. “I feel 100% ready; just ramping up and getting ready for the first race.”

Team MotoSport Kawasaki is sponsored by MotoSport.com, Kawasaki, MSR, MDK, Pro Circuit, Troy Lee Designs, Spy Optics, Gaerne, Dunlop, Acerbis, ASV, Factory Effex, Hinson Racing, Light Speed, Mechanix Wear, Pivot Works, Renthal America, Twin Air and VP Racing Fuels.
