Monster Energy’s Adam Jones and Mike Metzger’s team of Wiley
Fulmer & Jeremy Lusk will represent at the Monster Energy-backed event

CARLSBAD, Calif., (Oct. 19, 2006) – Monster Energy will back this
weekends two-round installment of the X Pilots Freestyle Motocross
International being held in Mexicali and Tijuana, Oct. 20th & 22nd,
respectively.

“It’s gonna be one rowdy weekend down in Mexico, that’s for
sure!,” exclaimed Mike Metzger, the mentor to Monster Energy’s
Wiley Fulmer and Jeremy Lusk. “I always have a blast down there. The people are super nice, the events I’ve done are always packed and we’ll for sure put on the best shows of the year for them. And
though I’m personally not going to be able to attend this year, my
boyz will more than make up for my antics!”

SoCal locals interested in checking out the events can pack up and
head down to Mexicali’s Plaza De Toros Califia on Friday, gates open at 6 p.m. and the competition starts a 8 p.m. If TJ’s more your
style, then grab some friends and roll down to the Ahora En El Toredo De Tijuana. Gates for this Saturday’s show open at 4 p.m. and the competition starts at 6 p.m.

In addition to the Monster Energy-backed Jones, Fulmer and Lusk,
American Jimmy McNeil, Canada’s Mark Phillips, Chile’s Gabriel
Villegas, Panamanian Rudy Waller and Argentina’s Christian Carleti
round out the star-studded international field. All signs point to it
being a pretty rad weekend down in Mexico.
