CARLSBAD, Calif., (July 21, 2006) – Supercross’ top privateer in 2006 and current top five overall points placer in the Nationals, Nick Wey, announced today his plans to continue to run the clothing of the company that has made him such an integral part of its marketing campaign – Malcolm Smith Racing (aka MSR) – for the next three years.

Wey, who’s currently in 5th place overall in the premier class of the AMA MX Nationals points chase this summer, has been with MSR for three seasons now.

“I can’t begin to explain what an excellent feeling it is to be aligned with a company such as MSR,” said Wey.. “They’re more than just a sponsor to me, they’re part of my family.”

Flip though any one of the motocross industry magazines and it quickly becomes apparent how much Wey means to the overall vision of MSR.

“Nick’s our man,” says Dave Casella, Marketing Manager for MSR. “He embodies the drive, ethics and will to succeed in the sport of motocross, blending it with a recognizable smile and fun-loving attitude towards life in general. These are the attributes that are not only important in terms of success in the sport, they’re the ones we all share at MSR.”
