Maxxis racer Josh Demuth finished his turbulent Arenacross race season with a championship for the record books. The final round of the inaugural BooKoo Arenacross Series was held in Tulsa, Oklahoma February 11.

Despite a number of setbacks, Demuth was able to nab a total of nine wins throughout the series in his championship quest.  In an interview prior to the final round of racing, Demuth commented:  “I’ve been through a lot this year, but I’m going to keep pushing with everything I have.  Whether or not I am broke up and hurting, I am never going to give up.  I’m that type of guy.”

During the season, Demuth suffered a broken hand and an injured ankle, and he received 75 stitches in his face after racing at the Minneapolis round, just one week before the series finale.

There’s no denying that Team Babbitt’s Demuth is a warrior: Maxxis congratulates the “Sheriff” not only on his championship, but also on his racing spirit and determination.
