Valencia, CA - Mechanix Wear®, creator of the first high performance work glove designed specifically for mechanics presented Team Makita Suzuki mechanic Tony Berluti with their annual Outstanding Achievement Award at round 5 of the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series in Anaheim, CA on Saturday February 4th.

Each year the Mechanix Wear Outstanding Achievement Award is presented to professional racing mechanics that have enjoyed significant success in their field and have displayed outstanding professionalism and sportsmanship throughout their career.

Tony Berluti began his career as a professional motocross mechanic in 1987 working with rider Tommy Watts. He later became a mechanic for the factory Suzuki motocross team where he has remained throughout his career.  Tony currently looks after the bikes of AMA Motocross Lites and AMA West Supercross Lites Champion Ivan Tedesco.  He has worked with many riders in his 18 years as a mechanic including, Buddy Antunez, Damon Huffman, Ezra Lusk, Robbie Reynard, Stephane Roncada and Sebastien Tortelli.
