East Coast Rounds Become New Focus of Team CrossX

Wednesday, February 8, 2006 | 5:58 AM

Phoenix, AZ. (February 6, 2006) -  Team CrossX, a Yamaha-supported Supercross team and Yamaha Motor Corp., USA, have jointly decided that the CrossX team will forgo the next round of the AMA Supercross season. CrossX, which made its debut at the opener in Anaheim and competed in the following rounds, will step away from the San Diego round of the Supercross series. The break enables the team to spend more time practicing and developing their racers and the finite bike set up requirements needed at this level of professional racing.

CrossX will return at the East Coast opener with their racer Josh Lichtle (#811) still with their sights set on the East Coast Supercross Lites debut February 18th at the St. Louis Supercross. “We appreciate the support of all our sponsors and want to provide each with the recognition they deserve,” says Bradley Miller, CrossX Team Manager.

“CrossX set extremely high goals for their first entry into the Supercross series. However, sometimes its best to slow down in order to go faster,” explains Keith McCarty, Yamaha Racing Division Manager. “By minimizing the pressure on the riders and the team, we feel CrossX will return with more confidence and speed.”
