Kyle Chisholm

Kyle Chisholm may be one of the most underrated and overlooked riders in motocross. Although he has not made a huge impact on the American motocross circuit, Chisholm has proven himself a champion in America’s northern neighbor, Canada, and is a top-ten threat here in the states.

Upon turning pro in 2004, Chisholm rode hard, and broke the top twenty in the Motocross Lites class with a nineteenth overall. Although a top twenty is a very respectable outcome, he traveled north and decided to compete in the CMRC Canadian Motocross Championships. The career change was definitely what Chisholm needed, as he rode his Kawasaki to the second spot in the East Region.

The 2006 season proved to be Chisholm’s best to date, as he and his Richmond Kawasaki team would claim the title in the CMRC Canadian Motocross East MX2 series. Now a champion in Canada, Chisholm took his momentum and returned home to compete in the AMA Outdoor Nationals. He earned two top-ten finishes, one at the southern California locale of Glen Helen Raceway, and the other at the sandy and rough Southwick track. He also found some success in the East Region of the Supercross Lites series, with one top ten.

In 2007, Chisholm was again consistent, as he claimed four top tens in the Motocross Lites class. He seems to like Glen Helen and Southwick, as two of those top tens came at the two tracks. The other two included Red Bud and Freestone Raceway in Texas.

This year has been good for Chisholm, as he and his Motosport/Xtreme Kawasaki rode to three top tens in the East Coast Lites Supercross series and numerous top-fives and top-tens in the Nationals.  John Leonard
