Weimer rode to a third-place finish at the 2005 U.S. Open of Supercross in the 125 class – his first race for the Factory Connection Honda team. In 2006, Weimer rode in the AMA West Supercross Lites Series and the AMA Motocross Lites Series. The entire year proved to be a difficult one for him as injuries forced him to miss most of both series. He was still able to muster a thirteenth in the final West Supercross Lites Series standings, as well as 31st in the Motocross Lites Series. Always riding well in Las Vegas, Weimer posted a strong second-place finish in the Lites class at the 2006 US Open before heading into the 2007 season with fresh confidence.

The 2007 season was Weimer’s coming-out season. Aboard his SoBe/No Fear Honda CRF250R, Weimer rode to a strong fourth place year-end finish in the AMA Supercross Lites West Region Series. He piloted his machine to another solid finish in the final AMA Motocross Lites Championship standings, earning sixth place against some very fast and talented competition.

Weimer’s 2008 season didn’t start out so well when he failed to make the main event at round one of the Lites West at Anaheim Stadium, but he stepped up to win round two in Phoenix. He as inconsistent throughout the year, though, and could only manage fifteenth in the points standings before heading outdoors, where he scored a podium finish at the Mt. Morris National and currently sits fourth in points.  Sam Wappelhorst
