I started racing MotoX at a MX park (Indian Dunes)my dad managed in Valencia Ca. back in 1975 when I was 4 years old and still race occasionally today..Grew up riding at Indian Dunes 30 hours + a week and my nickname became Daniel Dunes because of that..The pic in my profile is me in 1981 on the 81 yz 60 in the 60 ex class at Indian Dunes. At the time my class was stacked w/Jimmy Button,King Richard Saxyon,Mouse Mccoy,Kyle Lewis,and Steven Kotajarvi.The YZ 60 in 81 was the bike to have back then. The Dunes was my day care provider.In fact if any of you remember the episodse of the TV show "Chips" where they showed a pee wee race I was the kid that raced the pee wee(doubled) for the star..That was my 15 min of fame lol.In my prime I was only a top 5 local B(intermediate) rider in the N.W. and now I ride the 30+(vet)A/B class when my back and knees let me..I'll ride,and race til I just can't take the aches,and pains any more..I bleed M.X. I'm a fan 24hrs a day 7 days a week. |
