Ever since its inception in 1984 the Paris Supercross has been the single most important off-season race of all, at least as far as the indoor world goes. Conceived as a way to bring true American-style supercross racing to France, its organizers aim high and almost always deliver a meaningful event. And while it may not be part of the AMA series, it’s helped it grow from afar by embracing its full potential and offering an annual preview of things about to come. Think of Paris as a bonus round—a working vacation for supercrossers in the City of Lights.
