Salt Lake City Practice Update

Posted by Jason Weigandt on Saturday, April 25, 2009

The word from the second practice at Salt Lake City is that there wasn't a second round of practice at Salt Lake City--the sessions were canceled to preserve the track.

But the rain has only been coming down in spurts, and never that hard, so it looks more like a track that will be soft and rutted instead of an all-out mudder. But, we're still two and a half hours from show time here, so if the light rain keeps up the whole time, it could be end up being pretty bad.

Luckily, the weather forecast indicates rain will stop by 8 p.m, so the skies should be dry by main event time. But will the track be dry?

You can tune into the Supercross Live! webcast at 7 p.m. Mountain Time at www.supercrossonline.com to get the full scoop. This week's show features interviews with Ryan Dungey, Jake Weimer, Mike Alessi, Roger DeCoster, Larry Brooks, Josh Grant and Andrew Short, as well as in-depth post-race interviews with the top three finishers in each class.

Now it stopped raining. This could be interesting.
