Laurel Allen

Laurel C. Allen (aka LCA) is the senior editor of Road Racer X, and her office at Racer X HQ is an island of full-face helmets and leathers in a sea of goggles and jerseys. The daughter of a former national champion, she grew up in the road race paddocks of North America and joined the RRX/RXI family in 2005. She is the author of BMW Racing Motorcycles: The Mastery of Speed and spends the majority of each season covering AMA Superbike events. When not at the races, she spans time with husband Torgsten and a pair of cattle dogs named Scout and Ringo. Laurel earned her degree from William Smith in New York (with additional studies at Jagellonian University in Krakow) while interning at Cycle News in the summers. She rides to work on a Z1000.
