Davey Coombs - Blogs as 'Davey Coombs'
Davey Coombs has been a motocross fan his entire life. As he grew up working at his family’s motocross races, he was also picking up knowledge and ideas. After a short career as a pretty fast racer—eighth at Daytona in the 125 class!—he decided to make a go of one of those ideas, and the WVU English major started a little newspaper called The Racing Paper. Brick by brick, his vision grew into the glossy monthly Racer X is today. Davey’s a walking encyclopedia of the sport, which shows in the numerous features he writes, both online and in print. He and his wife, Shannon, are the proud parents of 5-year-old Vance and a brand-new little girl named Sloane.
