Cobra “Stars of Tomorrow” Race at RedBud

HILLSDALE, Mich. – A number of motocross’ future stars will compete Friday prior to RedBud’s MX National in an event open to any little guy or gal that wants to test their meddle versus some of the sport’s finest in what company officials have dubbed the Cobra’s Stars of Tomorrow Challenge Race, presented by Supersports.

Several Cobra factory-backed racers are planning on racing the event, which is also sponsored by Skullcandy and Nitro Circus. Then following their motos, versus all the other top 50cc brands and riders, the top Cobra racers will sign autographs at the Supersports hauler and hand out some free stuff as part of MX Sports’ FanFest celebration on Friday nights before Saturday’s RedBud MX National.

“Cobra’s right down the road from us, so this should be fun,” said RedBud’s Amy Ritchie. “Unless you’re racing amateurs yourself or have kids racing, most fans of motocross don’t have a chance to see these young guys race. And you’re just not going to believe how well they get around our night track on these little bikes.”

To put it into perspective, when asked ‘How would a Cobra do against one of these hopped-up 50cc pit bikes that adults ride,’ company President Sean Hilbert stated simply: “Our kids would be very competitive.”

Those attending FanFest at RedBud will get a chance to witness the future of motocross – and get autographs from kids who could very well be top pro racers some day. Current pros such as Davi Millsaps, Mike Alessi, Trey Canard, Austin Stroupe and Nico Izzi – just to name a few – all cut their MX teeth on Cobras.

“The Stars of Tomorrow challenge race will be a great racing experience for your travel dollar – where you can race a very competitive gate on Friday, then see the best racers in the world battling on Saturday,” said Hilbert. “Aligning with MX Sports, RedBud and FanFest will be an ideal way for Cobra to showcase some of America’s top young talent at a venue outside the ones we normally race, such at Loretta’s and Gatorback Park.”
