Jake Moss
After a very impressive first moto in the 450 class at Thunder Valley where he finished fourth (after running third for much of the race), Troy Lee Designs Honda rider Jake Moss suffered a pretty hard get-off early in the second moto which knocked him out. “He couldn't see a bump on that big step-up on the top part of the track,” team manager David Pingree told us this today. “Jake got thrown over the bars pretty violently. Chad Reed and Chris Blose both saw it and said they felt like pulling off the track to check on him. He was knocked unconscious briefly but was awake within seconds when the first person got to him (which happened to be Troy Lee). Amazingly, he had very few scrapes or marks on him. As he likes to joke, "His face softened the blow." He has a cut on his left eye and a pretty nasty shiner but he is doing much better now. We'll check with Dr. Bodnar about exactly how long he should stay off the bike and make a decision collectively."

So good to see another Aussie doin well over there. Sucks this happened hope he gets well soon. He's done bloody well to overcome the back injury from last year, that's aussie toughness for ya.

I have to agree w/ the majority, night motocross is sketchy even w/ the best lighting available. When you have one shadowy spot that's one too many w/ the speed involved.
