The video works fine. If you have issues its most likely either your browser, plug-ins, computer or phones issue most likely stemming from them not supporting the proper flash player. I'm no computer expert, but at least that's my take on it.

Although it would be an extreme long shot, wouldn't it shake the 450s up if Tomac pulled a Tomac in Atlanta and won his first race?

For the next 4 rounds, The Sensational Seven will morph into the Great Eight!! Adding Tomac to the equation now gives Honda 4 guys who could win on red. Eli is Confident he belongs on a 450 and Comfortable on a 450, which means he is an immediate threat to win or land on the podium...Good Luck to ET !!!

Tomac is the fastest rider in supercross today, 250's or 450's. He will outpoint all the top riders within the next four rounds. Sorry Villopoto, Tomac's the man.

Someone made a good point in another thread where I posted Tomac could give RV fits. He mentioned that Tomac may not run 20 laps as good as the other top guys and may start fading after 15 laps. Should be real interesting come Saturday.

I am a Tomac fan and believe he is going to be at or near the top of the heap, indoors and out for the next 5-7+ years. That said, I do not see him winning this year. He will be a threat and he may run up front.

You have to remember, Barcia was/is a supercross natural. He had to figure out how to ride with the extra power. Yes he found early success, he also found early TROUBLE. Barcia has ALWAYS been a better starter than Tomac. Starts will loom large for Eli. He will not be able to start 12th and come through the pack like he can on a 250.

There will also be a learning curve. He knows how to ride the 250 ( Hold it WFO ) He will need to develop that same second nature feel with the 4fiddy. Everybody makes the transition mistakes, handful of throttle, over jump one jump case the next. Again, look no further than Barcia who has been an almost flawless supercross rider on the 250.

I am more of an Eli fan than a Barcia guy but I do not expect him to do any better than Barcia this early.

My two cents throw your insults, I am ready!!!

I like Tomac and respect his riding - he's coming across real overconfident and no I don't think he can hang with RV, and I think if he starts behind RD,TC,JB,DM,CR,JS,or RV he will not be able to get around them. He is not as good a starter as all of the above. He is an incredible rider, this will be great and again I hope no one gets hurt,

Agree with above (davidl). He will be fast but that's a lot to ask to go with RV and JS, etc. But I think what will be cool to see is if Tomac does a Stewart and jumsp stuff (assuming the track designs options in) that few others can do. He did that on the 250 and now that he is on the 450, might see some of that. Hope he does well and doesn't get hurt. Next year, he will be a force.

Yes Tomac is confident, he remembers the MEC and has been running similar lap times to the Sensational Seven out west on his 250... As for his starts, they should be improved on a 450, which has the power to handle his size better... Besides RV's 6th to 1st, no one has come from behind to win on these hard to pass on tracks so far this year..Do I expect him to win..no..Would I be surprised if he won...no..

Unless he holeshots he will find some stiff competition and some guys who are in the midst of a Championship battle...motox719 ..hes not even winning the 250 west so lets not hand him the CHAMPS plate just yet..lol ..hes a good rider and he will get better starts on a 4fity...and he will definitely jam a stick in the mess and stir.....there are also a few guys who won't put up with any 2fity style crap...I really like Eli , hes not afraid to bang or hang it out...and hope he gets In the mix but doesn't ruin anyone in the hunts chances....say hello to Bam...i have the feeling you will get to play together....

I agree with you tonewall. It will take a good start to podium never mind win. With the top seven riders separated by 10th and 100th of a second, only a great start will pull that off. Not really sure what "2fity style crap" you referring too, but the top seven just turned to eight Saturday night and the racing should be awesome. Lets just say the last thing any of the top 450 riders are gonna wanna see is the number 17 in the rear view. We shall see how fast he really is come these next four races.

OK, So here's my 2 cents. Eli is, and has been for awhile ready to (compete) in the Big Show. He's said it, we've all seen it from his performances in the West 250 series, unless the wheels fall off the wagon, as can and will happen, it's the law of averages in this high risk sport.
That being said, he now lines up on the gate with 19 other dudes who have concentrated all their efforts on the prize. Out of that 19, say 4-6 are and have been looking for a top 5 finish or better to keep them in the running for the duration of the chase. I do not see Eli bringing up the rear of the pack, but I see him easily in that top 4-6 group or better. What and how can he (not) be a factor in the Championship with his mere presence. He is going to be banging with each and every top contender for each and every holeshot, corner and finish-line position.
Do I want to see him mix it up with the big boys, sure...but there is still that question mark in my mind that says, Yeh, but what if...
I guess I want the full meal deal, and I want to eat it too!
Just Sayin...

I am all for a good race - I care not who wins - but it has to be thought "what if by Eli competing points are take away from other Honda riders in the championship chase?" No one on here doubts that he can run with - or beat - Barcia, Reed or Canard and if he does so he will be effectively "cutting off the nose to spite the face" -

And lets keep in mind that RV Stewart Reed and Milsaps were jus as dominant as Tomac is currently - albeit in their respective timeframes in the 250 class - we have nothing new here. Again the real litmus test is Saturday. AMA Supercross (good track/bad track same track for EVERYONE) not the circus sideshow MEC. As well as anyone who rides can attest pounding out 20 lap "mains" at your test track is no where near the anxiety and intensity of "race pace" - that is why I called this piece candy - tastes good but no real substance.

I'll put my money on that he gets a W. I wouldn't even be that surprised if both him and Kenny wind up on the box at Daytona. Stranger things have happened.

If he can stay healthy, he will be right there in the mix with the stars of the sport next year, and perhaps be wearing a big single digit in the next couple years. Clearly, his wave of absolute confidence is his only weakness, and I say that in a very friendly way - every advantage is also a disadvantage in a certain set of circumstances.

If I had my way, he would be backing up Dungey riding the Home Depot Special. If he can learn to modulate his talent, he can be a dynasty, and a real franchise rider like the Ryans and Ricky. If he throws down like he likes to on top riders like Deano, at some point he will end up writing a check his talent and work ethic can't cash, like James and Travis. It is all up to him. Talent, work ethic, experience - the very apogee of a blue chip rider looking two put his name in the record books.
