2013 AMA Pro Numbers Released

Thursday, October 4, 2012 | 3:00 PM

The American Motorcyclist Association is pleased to announce professional numbers for pro-licensed riders competing in Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, and the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship for the 2013 season.

All riders must use the assigned professional number for competition as listed. In addition, the current champion must run the No. 1 plate when competing in the class or region in which the No. 1 plate was earned. When competing in a class outside of the class where the championship was earned, a rider who holds a No. 1 plate in another class must use the assigned professional number.

A PDF version of this list may be downloaded at www.amasupercross.com from the rules and bulletins section.

Baggett takes the #4. BIG shoes to fill. I think he would have been wiser to grab the #6.

Someone had to take that #4 eventually...its been long enough. Back in the day the lower number represented how good you did...so I say go for it....We all know RC was the first #4 and they dont retire numbers......so a new era for the #4 (on the track) begins........But, I guarenttee I'll hear someone say " WOAH Carmichael is back on Kawasaki???" at a race this year....HAHAAA

Profile Picture

Barcia cannot have #8, single digits are reserved for champions of 450 SX/MX or 250 MX

Profile Picture

But i have to give a shout out to gray davenport from utah, if they had counted lite's points in 2008 he also would have had a national number also. Not sure what he's doing next year but i hope he ride west coast lite's with landon as they could do some damage, along with bracken and O'D.

#2 is taken, can you guys not see that? also why doesn't anyone take #6 or #8?

Maybe Canard will heal up and get himself a single digit... no one else is stepping up to take one. maybe Barcia is afraid to have a single digit when his outcome really isn't what they predicted him to be when he turned pro.

GO RV2!! (I mean 1)

If they are now counting points in the 250 class for a national number, then they need to merge the east and west and make it a national series , not a regional series .

Big week for Roczen. Wins the MXdN and get his beloved 94 back.

Profile Picture

Barcia hasn't earned a single digit. You have to win a (non-regional) national championship.

Profile Picture
muehterc wrote: 5:11pm October 4, 2012

That's true @MX Bob... I forgot that his 250SX title doesn't count... Still a disappointment in my eyes (a la JS7 the past few years)...

I think #6 has gone the longest time without use. It hasn't been used since Steve Lamson. I'm glad Wharton went with #13, speaks well for his confidence, plus its my lucky number :)

Profile Picture
NUMBER198 wrote: 6:22pm October 4, 2012

So.....we can only have 2 more (non-current) National Champs......#6 and #8......Then a guy either has to run a #1 or back to his two digit # if he loses the year after becoming #1.............unless one of the single digit riders retires.....correct?

Profile Picture
nv802 wrote: 6:27pm October 4, 2012

true, but wilson and canard could pick 6 or 8 if they wanted since they won outdoor titles. leaving none

Profile Picture

I guess John Dowd could pick 6 or 8 since he is a former national champ.... That would be pretty cool to see a 48 year old running a single digit!

Threre should be a rule that you must plan to compete the entire season to hold a single digit #. Would be nice to see someone on the 3 bike every week

Pretty sure Wilson and Canard can't change numbers. It's called a career number for a reason...

Wilson scored no points toward a # this year. Strange but career # BS means he gets one.
Chisolm #11??
Canada #23??
T Hahn #58?? OUCH!!
Larsen earns his first, I thnk.
Nelson earns the lowest of the "first full year" guys.....
When did Anstie score points toward?? Jeff Alessi for frigs sake?! Durham??
Austin Howell doesn't get #61 for the third year in a row.....damn
Lamay got a higher # this year, despite 20 more points outdoors....shitty. exact same in 2 years sx (2). one of my fave "mid-packers"

Thought 250f sx didn't count, but now does?

This system is more screwed up than ever! The only riders who should get permanent numbers should be class champs. Everyone else should be ranked by points (and no lites points should not apply).
No problem with Baggett taking 4. No different than RV taking 2 from MC. Time moves on and he won a title.

Dowd never won a non-regional National Championship either. Brown will be the only single-digit old-guy.

Lamson held onto 6 for a long time. I think he's the reason, they changed the rules for keeping it. Until recently,

I never heard the 6-6-6 thing until recently . That's just silly. You can't even see all three plates at the same time, unless they are off the bike.

I don't care if the numbers are written in chinese and shaped like dildo's. I just want to see some racing. Seriously, unless you are on the numbers list above don't waste your energy on it. Just my opinion of course. Wouldn't want some of the Sally's in here to get their skirts twisted up over my comment.

For those of you who dont know, single digits are reserved for past national champions. (Lites SX does not count as a National championship) Those asking why BB didnt take #2, its already RV's career number. Im on the fence about it, but personally think career numbers should only be reserved for past champions. I liked it when you could tell by the number how they finished overall points the previous year before. 13 was run by Swink, Tortelli, Voss, Phil Lawrence I beleive ran it. I'd run it, do not believe in superstition. Look how many riders injured themselves using other numbers. RC used #6 in 98 in his second year. He gained enough points in 125MX to earn that number, before they switched to career numbers.

666 and the Mark of the Beast

666 comes from Revelation 13 in the Bible. 666 is a human number that is connected with the mark of the beast.

Beast is Satan, claiming to be God

The beast is Satan in a brilliant, perfect body. He will appear to people as a glorious being and he claims to be God. He will have many names, all of which are different names for God. In fact, he will have a total of six hundred and sixty-six (666) names.

“No one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.” Revelation 13:17,18

666 blasphemous names

This verse tells us to calculate or count the number of names the beast has. The beast will have 666 names. When he first comes to earth he starts out with 7 blasphemous names and over the next few months he keeps adding names until he reaches 666 blasphemous names. These are blasphemous names because they claim to be God but they aren’t God. When you count up all of his names there will be 666 names.

Mark of the beast is 666 names

The mark of the beast is the name of the beast or any of his 666 names. In other words, you receive the mark of the beast by taking any one of the beast’s 666 names.

So why does he need so many names? Because he wants to appeal to every person on earth. He carefully select his blasphemous names so that one of his names will appeal to each person on earth.

He will come as Allah or Imam Mahdi to the Muslims, Maitreya Buddha to the Buddhists, Jesus Christ to the Christians, Krishna to the Hindus, Messiah to the Jews, Saoshyant to the Zoroastrians, the “Dark Lord” to satanists, and so on through the whole list of 666 names.

His goal is to win the worship and allegiance of every person on earth.
