This kids future is very bright, and unlike some he learns quick on things he has done wrong(off the track) and makes a concious effort to not repeat the same mistakes.

Like everyone else, I get caught up in the hype, more than I'd like to admit. To keep things in perspective, I try to constantly remember that this young man is all of 17, and then I try to remember what I was screwing up at that age. I cannot believe the responsibility placed upon them under the magnifying lens, albeit. It will be interesting to see him mature as a rider and as a person to represent his passion that is Motocross. Best of luck to Jeffery in his right of passage from adolescence dreams to the "Big Show!" He seems to be an apt pupil so far! Enjoy the ride!

Ronnie - AC and Cooper Webb haven't proven a thing yet other than they're fast amateurs, and with that that not at the top of their games either as far as their age goes. You're two top amateurs are Jeremy Martin and Jesse Nelson who now is pro. How you could compare this kid is by the way only 17 years old is unreal. Not to mention that AC has had the world by the balls with pro circuit help. If he doesn't grow some, he'll be know as the greatest mini rider that never was. Not to mention that he's never had to race against the like of a Charmichael, Izzi (on a mini), Villopotto and the list goes on and on... Wake up and give this kid his due...what the hey were you accomplishing at 17?

The kid is a no good punk, and is very arrogant. Alot of guys want to hate on Barcia for his antics, they can take a look into Herlings. He once shoved a female track official onto the ground because of a disaggreement. That is way worse than anything I have seen anyone else do. So dont kiss this kids butt yet everyone..

I agree with you allthetruth, @ therealmofo stop making up stuff to make your comment any good. AC just going to turn out like Mike Alessi a huge talent in amateurs then just so so in pros

Its funny trying to compare a guy who has beat Ken Roxzen with AC. AC didn't even win a supermini title at mammoth this year or lorettas last year. He isn't even racing schoolboy at lorettas this year.

For all those that say give Barcia sometime to mature, well Herlings is just 17 and will be a World Champ, thats a whole lot more pressure than one might think, give him time, he will come around.

The kid in no way arrogant. I was riding on the same track with him last week and didn't knew the kid, but had a friendly chat for about 10 mitutes with him. True, he made some stupid moves this season, bit he's the first one to admit that.
