A Note From James Stewart
Friday, March 23, 2012 | 3:55 PMIt really hurts me to say this, but after spending the last couple of days under the observation of doctors and my family, it looks like it would be best for me to sit out this weekend’s race in Toronto. The fall at Indy was big but aside from the obvious, it aggravated a couple old injuries and I’ll need time to fully recover from that.
I know you haven’t heard a lot from me over the last few of days, but we’ve been working hard to see what I could and should do. I’ve tried to push through it to see where my limitations are. And unfortunately it looks like that I wouldn’t be able push myself at the pace needed to run with the guys out there. I’m sorry for that.
So at this point, there's no real time line for my return. But we’ll be working at it again next week to reevaluate my abilities for the race in Houston.
Trust me, this was a hard decision to make. And it really came down in the last few hours. After assessing myself again today, talking to my team, my sponsors and my family, it’s clear that I need to give myself the time to heal. So I just want to say thank you for supporting me. To my team, thanks guys and good luck this weekend to Davi; keep that podium streak alive! I’ll be back soon. To my sponsors, you guys are the best, I can’t say that enough. Thank you for the always sticking with me. And to my fans; man all you guys. I mean all you guys on Facebook with me, my Twitter followers, all you guys at the races or watching at home. Thank you for the love. You guys really are the greatest. I’m working so we can get back out there soon, win some more races and have a couple more dinners.
Thank you all,
- James Stewart #7

Anyone know the extent of his injuries? All i know is that he had a concussion test done but passed it marginally. I'm trying to recall what past injuries he may have aggravated but i can't recall.
When one falls as often as Bobbles, one most likely has a lot of nagging injuries to aggravate.
At this point, the most interesting part of the 450 season is seeing who will make it back from injury in time to score some decent finishes. Last week Grant returned (not for long if he keeps tasting soil), is anyone else returning this week? I guess Wil Hahn is technically a "return", riding the MM Honda 450. Anyone else? Josh Hill? IT9? Stroupe? I think some of these guys are targeting Houston.
Also interesting to see who steps up to the podium. Brayton looks like a podium guy in this reduced field. Weimer needs to get out of his funk and get back up there. Plus Millsaps, Metty and a battered K-dub. Anyone else left to crack a podium? Musquin perhaps?
I don't think James can handle losing. He falls down, says he is hurt, and now has an excuse not to race. He was hurt worse after his crash at Daytona last year. The bar has been raised several times since his prime and I don't think he is willing to put the work in now. I don't blame him...just sucks.
i think stewart is afraid of RV1 this season just cant get anymore boring in the 450s with everyone out....the lites are the only thing fun to watch
Get well soon JS. We have all had injuries that stop us from riding. Speedy recovery wishes.
Maybe not allowed to leave the country after last years felony?
what about taking out kdub dude you screwed yet another rider in crashing...get it together or get off the track and dont blame the tires or the bike...look at millsaps...
I'm not a Stewart fan by any means but it sure is exciting to watch him ride. Get well soon James, Chad, Trey, Ryan, Shorty, etc, etc,, etc,,
darn. get well soon. and id say get going on the outdoor training if your gonna run with the champ. oh and outdoor TESTING too! and dont forget that not every outdoor national is in Florida! just a little testing tip
theOWNLYone- thats funny
Unicorns? Yep, Unicorns!
Sad to say it- but if Villopoto gets hurt, then we have an exciting series again. Of course then it would ruin the outdoors before it started. Whoever had the idea for the 'inflatable body bags' might be on to something- but accidental 'premature inflation' might be an even bigger problem. 'He pulled the holeshot and began gapping the field when his leatt airsuit expanded and sent him over the bars, ect.;
@smackum You hit the nail on the head !!!! That is exactly what is going on, Im glad others are starting to see right through his excuses, That little tip over was his ticket out and he jumped on it !!!
Typical James BS. Says he is hurt but never says what is wrong in the least. "Aside form the obvious"??? WTH does that mean. Man have some respect for your fans, if you have any left.
@ OWNLYone, You may have something there. If its true I think it would better to fess up with it than try to pull the wool over our eyes.
He reaggravated some old injuries?? Wonder what those are, that he still has lingering around?? RV1 had some he didnt fix and it came back to bite him.. I wonder if Stewie has a concussion too?? Nice that he sent a letter, but I really wish he would have mentioned what his injuries were.. I guess i'm nosey, LOL
Get well soon James. I for one as a racer myself, have always respected your "wreckers or checkers" racing approach. There is nothing wrong with wanting to win, and giving it your all and then some. I hope that the cumulative effects of injuries doesn't cause permanent problems for you. Get well soon and do what you can do.
More assinine comments from a bunch of Morons ...@OWNLYand the rest that agree with him , Pretty sure you guys sure just casual fans if at all , First , James was not convicted of a Felony , fool , just you trying to start some redneck bull ... And I seriously dont think JS is afraid to lose , what a Stupid remark , Js thinks he is Just as fast as he ever was , and his lap times show it ... Just some bad luck , and one bad decision ..ie YAMAHA .. I think if his concussion was marginal , he made a smart move not to race , Why dont you all find some real reasons to hate ! not fairy tails .... and dont waste your time stalking me , I wont respond to Losers .
stupid ass toolbags who hate on riders on this site are so annoying .
stupid ass toolbags who hate on riders on this site are so annoying .
Took longer than i expected lol and then next week their will be a release saying Stewart OUT rest of SX season and then right before out im sure their will be one that says Stewart OUT MX Nationals
Your the Boss like Rick Ross! Get well.
Okay with James out and Dungey out and the likelihood of another win by RV1 this weekend, the series is wrapped up. RV1 could probably miss the rest of the rounds and still win. He might as well work on outdoor testing.
It's sad we can't have our own opinions without every idiot who doesn't agree jump all over it,it's called freedom of speech. There are plenty of things I don't agree with that people post and just laugh. If we all liked the same things and did the same things it would be a pretty boring world now wouldn't it,I like what I like and you like what you like and if that don't work for you,you are just a POS who's opinion is a joke anyway.
Weaker! I guess we will be watching the race for 2nd and 3rd Zzzzzzzzz
@smackum How in the world could you know he got hurt more badly in Daytona?!? It's comments like these that make reading these forums entertaining.
Keep that train rolling RV!
Like RC before you, the rest will have to figure out how to run your pace for for the entire race, for the entire season.
I hope James heals up. I don't like it when any of these guys get hurt.
As far as legal ramifications from his (ahem) joy ride last year, he was charged with a felony, but pleaded to a misdemeanor. Not sure if a misdemeanor carries travel restrictions.
Is the next announcement: "It really hurts me to say this, but after spending the last couple of days under the observation of doctors and my family, it looks like it would be best for me to sit out"... the Outdoor Nationals?
I hope not.
I just did the math, if RV1 wins Toronto and Texas, barring James doesn't return for Texas, he mathematically wins the title. If James does return for Texas and remaining rounds, RV1 can wrap it up with 3 rounds left. With all this said I might add that IF he doesn't crash or DNF.
some of you folks can bag, hate, dislike or whatever you want to call it about James Stewart....I'll tell you one thing, I have seen this kid take harder hits than anyone and get right back in it....many times when he probably should have stayed down...but that is James Stewart......the studies of "concussions" have gone along way these past few years and it is serious business....take a look at Hockey for example....Syndey Crosby, the modern day Wayne Gretzky has missed half a season with concussion related symptoms....now I played hockey and I raced Moto for along time and I tell you this, the ground hits alot harder than any hockey player can.....aside from going into the boards head first, moto crashes are obviously much more dangerous...some guys never walk again and some never see the light of day......James Stewart hits the deck alot, but he is a warrior of moto and nothing less. The dude seems to have made some smarter decisions this year, even though his bad luck still follows....If his docs are saying " you could race, but probably shouldnt" than he is making the right call...especially with a season that has been over for a few weeks now......it was rumored he re-injured his wrist at A2.....or maybe it is just his pride that is injured and he needs to re-group.....one thing I do know, is none of you dudes who bag on they guy know what your talking about.....look at Reed after Millivanilliville......he was out there when he probably shouldnt have been..his "head" per his own comments wasnt clear.....A concussion is an injury and it can take a few weeks to heal just like a bruise.....Reed didnt have a concussion.....he got scared.....but that in time will go away......
I hope James gets back to full health and makes a return before the season is over, and I hope he races outdoors. Love him or hate him, he makes the series better and the racing more exciting.
@ Preston.....What is wrong with bringing up that it is possible he may not be able to leave the country? When I have been out touring with bands getting into Canada can be a huge problem (just ask Dean Wilson). I have seen world famous musicians get detained for hours on end getting into Canada just because they had a tattoo of a pot leaf, or a motorcycle group, too many traffic tickets etc. It is perfectly reasonable to assume that James (who was arrested for impersonating a law enforcement officer) may not be allowed to leave the country. Whether or not he was convicted of a felony or not is irrelevant. He was arrested for it and admitted he was doing it.
BTW - Your use of the term 'redneck bull' is code for RACISM....get over it will you? Just because some one bashes on your favorite rider does not make them a racist, or a redneck. In fact, most rednecks are not racist either so please just say what you mean and quit with your little black mans code words.
Just like the whining people that say people who hate Obama are racist, you are wrong to use terms like "redneck bull" insinuating that people bashing James are bashing him because he is black. I hate Obama because he is an idiot that has spent our country into oblivion, but that is another topic. I am not a fan of James just because of his own actions over the years.
When not one person on this thread, or any other thread (except for jairtime in the past) have ever posted any racist rants. Get over it. Nobody cares what color James is, or Malcom, ir Akira Narita, or Pedro Gonzalez etc is and by using terms like 'redenceck bull', when not one person on this thread has said a single racist thing makes you a race baiter, just like Al Sharpton or Jessie Jackson.
The fact is, the rest of the world really doesn't care one way or the other. Get over it and drop it. Time to put your big boy underwear on and realize that James actions in the past with other riders, crashes, the police, his excuses, pushing Reeds bike down etc etc etc are the reasons people don't like him. Yes he is incredible on a bike. No doubt. However the rest of his character is what ticks people off. When people like you get on threads like this and defend him to no end like he is Jesus and can do no wrong, then throw out little race baiting cries of racism like you did in your last post, you lose all credibility for whatever points you have, whether they are valid or not.
Nobody cares about race anymore. This is not 1960. Get over it and drop it. James needs to take ownership of all of his actions on the track as well as off the track and he never does and people are tired of it. Take your blinders off and leave the childish race baiting code words to the stupid politicians like Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, and Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid.
It looks like saps, kdub and metty get another chance at the podium and will be able to land TV time singing "get your ride on" for next weeks event. Bar to bar racing, right Ralph?
@KilloMoto - Great post!!!!
i hope hes not out until next january
The OWNLY one could be on to something.
According to the Orlando Sentinel James plead no contest to a misdemeanor last November and was sentenced to community service and a $500 fine.

"(3) In addition to these effects, your ability to travel to foreign countries may be impacted. For example, Canada does not allow people who have been involved in criminal activity to enter their country. That includes both minor and serious offenses such as theft, drunk driving, assault and impersonating a police officer (or Mountie)."
Interesting...
@CR500AF - You beat me to it. Nice work.
I stand behind my statement in my earlier post...
@Redneckrider - well written, logical post.
@ preston - I'm not a casual fan. I've been following the sport since 1969. How about you? Went to the amateur nationals as an expert in '79. Nope, not a casual fan.
@CR500AF - Thanks....Is my Red Neck showing?
@Redneckrider - Great post by Killomoto? I'd say great post by YOU my friend (the long post). Amen!
@Redneckrider - don't think so, and even if it was, it is intent and logic that matter. I have no problem with people having a different point of view from me as long as they can make their point logically and in writing.
As far as race, people play that card much too quickly and as a means to discredit those with whom they disagree (unless you are jairtime or scrub-this). I didn't see anything you wrote about race as being offensive or intended to offend.
I take exception to people like Preston who start with insults and derogatory comments towards people they don't know just because they don't agree with someone's point of view.
KilloMoto, Redneckrider,CR500AF--------GREAT STUFF
I am really dissapointed in the low class hateful comments, James I think you made a great decisiona nd heal up well and hit the last 4 SX races to keep you in race mode for the great outdoors.
@n2motox - THANKS! I really get tired of people excusing James behavior mostly because he is black but then slamming anyone who calls him on his actions a racist. Just like Martin Luther King said "Judged on the content of their character, not the color of their skin". Character is what matters. These race baiters are worse than the racists in many ways and continually perpetuate the stereotypes they claim to hate. If you don't like a stereotype, then don't act like the stereotype.
MLK is probably rolling over in his grave to see people excuse some of the moronic behavior that is excused by people of all colors just because they entertain us. Michael Jackson, Michael Vick, James Stewart, Danny Glover etc etc all get a pass from so many people because they keep us entertained. "Don't you dare speak out against them because you will be called a racist."
People like Preston will make excuses for bad behavior because race is first with them. Not character. Preston proves that with his little race baiting comments he throws out whenever someone bashes on James.
James' character is more like that of Erkel from the old TV series... "Did I do that?"......
Having said all of that...I hope he heals up soon because he does make it interesting and that is entertaining for sure. However, just because he is entertaining does not mean I will ever excuse his behavior.
@davidl - Please clarify your statement.
On another note, does anyone know if there is a way to watch live streaming online for the SX races that aren't going to be live on TV? Such as Houston and New Orleans? Has anyone tried this link? Is it legit? http://amasupercross.livehdchannels.info/
I've kinda gotten used to being able to see the races live this season and it's gonna be a bummer to have to wait till the next day!
Justin.tv has a lot of the races on..
The racing is definitely more exciting with Stewart than without, it would be nice to see the Stewart of a few years ago. So much talent but his focus doesn't seem to be where it needs to be, I know he's wrecked before but it seems to more now than ever. Is he lacking focus or is the competition that much better?
@dmxrider1122 - I would say it is definitely a combination of the two. Everyone has stepped up while James has stepped backwards. I really don't believe it is the bike either.
you idiots need a life
I am by no means a fan of James, but hate to see a fellow rider go down. Interesting facts CR500AF, there's no doubt in my mind that he is beat up, but I think that might be part of the reason why he's not racing. For him it would either be try to get into Canada and fail, and have the media and fans wondering why you couldn't make it threw, or just say you have an injury (which I do believe he has, just to not the extend), but nobody but James knows what's going on. Whatever it is, James, I hope you get out there soon, I'm not a fan but I respect your talent on a motorcycle. Goodluck
@2wheelracefan - I don't think there would be, because if you watch a livestream on the internet there streaming it from there television to there computer, gonna have to wait till the next day or later.
Redneckrider, Dean Wilson did not have any problems getting into Canada. He lived there for many years and I believe he travels with a Canadian passport. He could not get back into the U.S. after the Toronto round 2 years ago because his work visa was screwed up and he had to wait until it was processed.
He was cleared to race Indy but not Toronto? Something doesn't add up. And what is his injury? They never stated that he has a concussion, it's just speculation. Is it another excuse so he doesn't have to own up to getting beat week straight up every week? Well if it is a concussion i hope he stays healthy and he made the right call, but you have to wonder what's really going on. Matthes in his indy podcast said people laughed when they said that big James was the one who made the call not to race, they also said people saw him in full gear walking through the tunnel to go race the lcq at indy. Makes you wonder what's really going on doesn't it?
Same border. My point was not that Wilson was a criminal or where is was a resident a resident. My point was they don't mess around at the Canadian border. US or Canadian border people are serious about each countries laws. Wilson got caught up in that and I would expect that James would have similar issues if he wasn't injured. Some of the performers I worked with were also Canadian citizens traveling on Canadian passports. My point is the border patrols may let you out but they may not let you back in, or vice versa. If you are a known trouble maker, or associate with known trouble makers, neither border guard is going to take that lightly.
One of the bands I was on tour with was detained for 6 hours because the singer had a tattoo that had a marking on it that resembled a California based biker gang, even though he was never affiliated with them. Another time a very well known Canadian musician could not get back into Canada because he had been in a car accident when we were in Texas. Another musician could not get back into the US because he had a DUI while in Canada....Just saying that James impersonating a police officer is probably carrying more weight about not going to Toronto than many people would like to believe.
who f#$@ng cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hey redneck why dont you get a job or something you post way too much on here and no one cares what you think.I dont believe I ever seen your name in the sx roster
Heal up good, come back strong, and please race with clear mind.
or A clear mind if you like.
WHAT A GIRL HIS VAG HURTS SO HE CANT RACE NO HEART
@crf875 - I work mostly work online these days and I supply about 126 other people with their jobs so go smoke your own pole. My name has never been on an SX roster as a rider (as yours most likely never has either) but it has been on team rosters as a mechanic for a couple of riders back in 1998-2003.
So since you are the one that has now defined the standard for who can post comments, I suppose everyone else will have to cancel their accounts here as well to comply with your new directive: You now must have had your name on an SX roster to have an opinion.
So who made you the internet police and the arbiter of what is the right amount to post anything online?
@ Redneckrider- thank you! and @ Preston- not everyone is out to get your home boy for the color of his skin- just the way he acts....
If you can't enter Canada with a misdemeanor, does that mean that Fro won't be in the booth this weekend?
@wrench - No problem...Like Popeye used to say "Thats all I can stands cuz I can't stands no more."
@crf875 - Why don't you take a class on sentence structure? People will take your little dictator attitudes more seriously if you can type with some sort of punctuation and structure...although not much more seriously since once we parse your drivel into the English language your points are still childish gibberish.
i think rd is faking it he knows he is going to lose to rv
@Chilllmatic - Good question. I think it depends a lot on how long ago it was, what the total ramifications were, if all legal obligations were met in a timely manner, and how his record has been since then. James is still not out of the woods with his situation but I think we are getting a bit off topic. Still, a very good and valid question.
I do think James is injured and I do believe him to be a fierce competitor who would race if he could. However, from a business standpoint, if he were to have issues getting into Canada, or returning to the states, due to the reasons that a situation like that could occur,(his arrest for impersonating a police officer) his sponsors may not want that type of light shining on one of their highest paid athletes. It would turn into bad publicity for them and no company wants that except for possibly the Metal Mulisha. It could stand to reason that his sponsors have asked him to not draw negative attention to them with an 'international incident". But that is just guessing from a business stand point.
Either way, I would much rather see him on the track racing with the others and not nursing a head injury, if that is the case. Look how that ended Broc Heplers career, and Pastranas too.
The Guy's hurt and many of you bag on him when he takes some time to have a conversation... ? WTF? Suppose you want to write what he's supposed to say too, right? All the negativity you spew..., embarrassing to read. You guy's should act you're age...., or maybe that's your problem. Most who post that way [and I'll lay odds on it] have never waited for a 30 sec. board to turn sideways, pin-in and drop the hammer. But if you have you're probably the ones who back-off the throttle some, half-way to the first turn, and then tippy-toe through. Cowardly, hate-filled experts you are.
No problem James, you just be sure to keep yourself in good shape for real Motocross this summer. The "important" series.
Bummer, but very smart on James part. When you go as fast as JS7 its gonna tear up a human body...i've been amazed over and over how many times he gets up from so many gnarly crashes. By far the most WFO and fun to watch rider in the world ever. (well maybe RC4 also)
@GreenMeansGo-100% right!
@redneckrider and @killomoto you guys are the reason why theses forums are a bunch of garbage!!!! Long winded pieces of shit, and nobody cares what your useless opinions are...so go away.
Wow Harry...and your post added so much to the discussion. Way to go there Einstein....
@redneckrider why don t you go snort some more white powder................you ramble on just like a coke head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
His old injurys are knee,collarbone,wrist.
Peace, Love & Moto... Racism is a mental liability.
@redneckrider what discussion are you talking about? you mean the one that your coked up ass is having with yourself!!!!!!
So much wisdom on this forum.....it's really amazing. Anyhow...... James took a seriously hard hit and for anyone to doubt that must have not seen the race I did. I'm surprised he was even considering racing this weekend.
@Scrub-This - After reading some of your other comments about James and your using some derogatory verbiage, I really find it difficult to agree with you. While the things and methods employed by MLK may not be well received in other nations, he was in fact a leading force of the civil rights movement. Much better to have been him than Al Sharpton or Louis Farrakhan.
@Harry - Sorry if complete logical sentences offend your sixth grade comprehension skills. Next time I'll type in bright shiny colors to hold your attention longer.
Simpleton.
I can't believe I am going to say this....but I agree with your last post. Having been to about 35 different countries myself, it is true. Especially in the Asian countries from my experience.
The Silicon Valley situation you mention is also true.
WOAH!!! Correction>>>>>>> I agree with your second to the last post...
@Redneckrider, Over time, I have read many of your comments concerning the different topics that are written on this site. With that being said, I must admit, that I find your comments very interesting reads, sometimes I agree with what you have to say, and sometimes I don't, but either way, I find your posts entertaining. Either way, I'm glad that you continue to express your opinions...I also enjoy reading from some of the other regulars, like CR500AF. What I think is very chidish and "uncool", is when the comments contain foul language, peppered in profanity...just shows low intelect..
I really am tired of the race discussion to be honest. To most people it doesn't matter and my tirade against Preston was simply because I had had enough of his BS race baiting.
There is so much speculation about James not going to Canada those with a brain are left wondering if we are really getting the truth from his camp. The reality is, whatever the reason for him not going, it is his camps reasons and with the amount of money on the line, I would bet that they do not make decisions like this easily.
In any event...I really wish James a speedy recovery from whatever is keeping him back, whether it is injuries, legal or mental issues, or bike issues. The sport is more fun to watch with him racing.
@rickc - Thanks for the comments. I usually try to not use profanity as I also think it shows low intellect and detracts from ones own arguments and facts. Not sure if you were referring to a comment I had made using profanity or not, or some other commenter.
Oh goody here comes ScrubThis- Finally somebody who knows something about the on the down low sport of motorcross(sic)- The 2009 'medium stew' scored ZERO points in the first round, and still finished 4 points back from Reed. And 33 year old Timmy Ferry this and Timmy Ferry that Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah. And Blah blah blah Timmy Ferry too. I have a feeling we'll be seeing you around here a lot over the next week.
@Scrub-This...Most people are too lazy to actually learn anything on their own without being told what to think by Oprah, Tom Cruise, Katy Perry, Sean Penn, or some moronic talking head on CNN. If Oprah or Wolf Blitzer or Bill Mahr says it then it must be true...and that is where their learning stops.
Glad I quit watching TV almost 10 years ago.
@WFO_UFO - What is wrong with Tim Ferry? Classy guy I think.....
And ScrubThis too while you're at it- Mike Alessi was' medium stews' closest competitor for the first half of the 2008 perfect on the down low gift session season til he became a road kill at red bud. Not the current Mike Alessi- but the same one who was ahead of Villopoto after nine rounds in the only outdoor season that they raced each other on 250f's. The same Mike Alessi who podiumed in his second ever pro race, behing Windham and Carmichael. The same one who finished second in both of his tries at 250f outdoors. As we can see here- not every rider gets better with age- But some do- like 33 yr old Timmy Ferry!
@Scrub-This - "stewtards have a different fairytale and excuse each week because the stewtards are not constrained by reality."....I gotta say I agree with you on this one too! LOL....
Upon further reading, it seems that you can ATTEMPT to enter Canada if you have past convictions but possess certain documentation. Although it is still up to the officers at the border to decide whether you are allowed in the country or not. Interesting stuff. It's crazy how much a somewhat simple charge could affect you.
Scrub-This: You really need to have a good OBE experience. All life comes from the same source. It's just what we each choose to do with our life that matters. In this day and age, you should really know that. If one of your family members was walking down the road and got struck by a car, would you really care who came to help them out? Would you really care if it was a caucasian, or asian or african american, or native american or a dog for that matter.... or would you just be thankful that someone showed some common decency and lent a helping hand to another brother or sister? It's always about Love in the end. Peace out.
DC....this site is garbage...because u let it be...open a forum, close the comment crap, so decent kids can get moto news without being exposed to redneck bullshit, he clearly doesn't realize his place or this platform, see ya. I can get my news from vital and transworld
Thank you @ScrubThis for actually agreeing with me on something- I don't know about Reed in 2009- but 'medium stew' won 16 out of 17 heat races, 15 out of 17 main event podiums and 11 main event wins, and a 7th place. He DNFed the first round when he got rammed by Reed from behind- after blowing a shift, then pushed his bike in front of Windham while trying to get out of the way as the rest of the pack was coming thru. That was after another hard hit to the head, so you cant blame him for being a lil' disoriented. A flagman could have jumped out and put a tuff block in front of him for protection and he could have just stayed down maybe. 'Medium stew' earned that title despite the on the down low accusations of 'Chisolmgate' which wouldn't have changed things anyhow.
@klrman1 - I really shouldn't feel the need to come to the defense of Scrub-This (God knows he can defend himself) but I don't think anywhere in his posting he said that he hated other races or cultures or would not accept help from them. Your point is a good one, to be sure. However, just like Preston assuming that anyone that speaks out against Stewart is a racist, please make sure you don't read more into the postings of Scrub-This that what is there. I don't agree with him on much of what he says, but re read his posts and make sure you are understanding his meaning and not pulling a Preston and reading more into than he intended.
Just the same as with my posts. I always try to be clear on my meanings and I think Scrub This does as well, even if you don't necessarily agree with him. He doesn't appear to be a white supremacist (my opinion only) and your post somewhat implies that you believe him to be.
@halfe316 - What redneck stuff are you talking about? You aren't pulling a Preston are you?
@Scrub-This > I'm willing to start a collection for your passport, visa, extradition papers, whatever necessary, so you can deport yourself to the Asian country of your choice. Anybody else in?
@Chilllmatic - That was basically the reasoning I cited for it possibly being a team/sponsor decision not to go. That kind of publicity no corporate sponsor wants if there were to be a problem getting in or out of Canada.
When you think about how much money JS7 has been paid for the last three years and the results he has produced, he should be sitting in a cell right next to Bernie Madoff. Then you have guys like Tommy Hahn that can't get a paycheck. I would bet that Stewart makes more than double than the entire Lites class makes per year.
Bernie Madoff???? Ok- I'm going out drinking- happy Friday!
Redneckrider
Especially with the way the media is today, they would eat that situation right up. Stewarts in the media whether he wants to be or not. If that is the real reasoning behind it, I think it was a smart decision. Less heat on the team.
@GreenMeansGo - I think you are over reacting a bit. When he Scrub-This is referring to things such as sub - species he is technically correct. He did not call other races "Sub Human", which would fire every one up big time.
We are all of the species Homo sapiens, and under that species, we are all divided into Sub Species or race as that is how our differences are scientifically categorized. Much like dogs are Canines, and sub species would be pitt bulls, Rottweillers, poodles etc. They all have different genetic make ups but are all still part of the exact same species.
It is easy to be reactionary on hot button issues like race or religion, or politics, but if you re read what he is saying, you will find that he is actually accurate as far as that post is concerned.
Now his comment about 'jungle bunny bull' is a different matter in my opinion.
@Chilllmatic - AGREED! That is why I think him sitting out Toronto is a sham (at least in part) but it also a smart business move by the team. If he really does have some other nagging injuries then that is a good decision by James and his doctors. Since he is pretty much out of the title chase at this point, he may do well to sit out entirely until nationals start and come out 100% healthy and with a bike that is dialed in.
lol dang drama up in here. on a real note I think James def had the speed this year he held off rv a couple times Just dont think he head was all the way in it and bad luck.
@scrubthis , is the pointy dunce cap on your head red or white?
re: "Racism is a mental liability" ... I do read the bible now and then but have never come across that verse. Guess that's just your sarcasm at work. Researched or not, your argument has no soul. You dismiss the human condition like its it's yesterday's leftovers gone bad. Why are a couple of you guys so bent on discriminating and distilling us down to the level of cats and dogs? That kind of thinking actually is sub-human. Maybe your Atheists..., don't know. Seeing the world so negatively, looking through those paranoid colored glasses is pathetic. To categorize, label, divide and conquer is un-American. A monster named Hitler tried that in the 1940's. Didn't work out so well for him.
155 says look at millsap im looking and what i see is he hasnt got close to the damn podium until thay hired james, daytona what the first podium in how many years, so im guessing james had to show um how to make the bike win because he damn sure didnt do it last year with jgr. funny he gets a few podiums after james shows up, scared of rv, yeah i can see were he would be scared of the little lepricon shit you se what they do when someone steals there gold, scared give me a break, the only thing james is scared of of is all the redneck dipshit supercross fans, theres one guy that is fast enough to beat rv and thats james, its funny out of reed, dungey, kwub, weimer, davi all of them stewart had the best chance to put rv on the bottom of the box, put rv james and dungey in a 16 race series, let the others race for what there racing for know and id put my money on james every race, hes had a lot of bad luck and rv has got a lot of gifts, this year means nothing its like dungey won the series when james and rv and the rest of them got hurt, ive been riding yamahas since i was 12 and i agree with recent posts the best thing james could do is get on a different bike, your only as good as the factory support you get, look how fast suzuki fell apart.
Wow !!!! Absolutely amazing the amount of HATE toward JS !!!!
Instead of talking shit why don't you professional keyboard racers get yourselves out there and race. I mean RD, TC, CR, and JS out there will be room for you on the gate !!!!!
Don't make excuses either you pussies !!!!
Crazy how the discussion went into this on a racing website of all things! I remember Stewart saying something along the lines of, "It does feel good to be the first ever, but I honestly don’t sit here and think about it a lot,” James told the St. Petersburg Times in 2004, “With a helmet on, we all look the same anyway.”
That made me a fan when i read that the first time. I'm not so much a fan now after seeing his show Bubba's World, but who can really blame the guy for getting as much out of his career while he can?
All-in-all, it's unfortunate he is not riding up to his own potential and expectations. I'm no longer a big fan of his, but few can argue against him being exciting to watch and bringing more people into the sport.
@redneck @scrubtits... WOW ...I write a coulpe of lines taking up for my favorite Rider , and you two wrote a Novel ..LOL , I must got to ya !!! LOL LOL LOLLOL LOL !!!
Its okay guys...I see that James bought a new Lambo...everything will be ok!
That much hate will eat you alive, just enjoy the racing..
Forgiven............unless you miss MY race next week in Houston :) Sayin a prayer for your recover..
What a Pansie,
Jb10 ihas been racing with a broken leg. RD5 had abroken colar bone. KTM forced him to get surgury... This sport is to tough for you know you lost the edge..to much $$$ complete waste of talent.
Its ove Bubbles just retire.
Im going to Burn my JS7 hats
BS7= No Heart.
the guy just has no heart. such a waste of talent. I've never seen so many novels and loveletters on a message board. He's probably wishing he didn't plea to a misdemeanor so he could have a legit excuse not to race in canada. guess we wont be seeing james till next january. didn't he sign a 4 year deal w/ gibbs? maybe it was 3 but i cant imagine james even riding in 3 years
@OrganDoner,, your right, he doesnt "have heart." He didnt show any heart at Daytona last year, did he ??
Thought i would share an article I quickly found searching canadian border crossing restrictions.. pretty interesting! My thoughts are that for the obvious reasons James and JGR are intentionally avoiding Canada... Enjoy : )

@mxmofo with all due respect stewart looks like shit this year compared to last year last year he actually looked like he had a chance this year he just doesnt look into it at all! and ill never for the life of me understand that if in fact he does not like the yamaha why on earth would he sign with another team and ride a yamaha?
@jeramy--its not the bike thats why..There isnt anything wrong with it. Millsaps is having fine results with it. That is just an excuse by the Stewtards who are fishing for an excuse as to why he isnt just losing,he is finishing 4th place like last year.. And were he was before a slew of injuries that bailed out Stewarts still terrible results.. He just isnt the fastest guy anymore, period. Not an insult just the truth. He is still a fine rider, he just isnt the fastest and the die-hard Stewtards cant handle it so they make excuses. Stewart CHOSE to continue to ride the bike, when he could have went to a few other brands, he didnt because there isnt anything wrong with the bike..
I think any "border" issues would have cropped up at the airport before he boarded a plane, as he certainly would not have been in a car sitting in line at the border crossing.
Speaking from experience, but not at this high of level, it's tough getting beat by anyone. JS was at the top and now he's losing with the same program that got him there. It's not working because someone else has a better program and he's way more hungry than James. JS got lost in the fame and fortune and while he was tweeting his famous baseball buddies, most of the kids were working there butts off. RV has different up bringing than JS. Heck look at the way James parents spend James' money for him. I have yet to see that come from the Dungey or Villopoto camps. Dungey and others have taken good notes when they were around RC. He has opportunity after opportunity to brag himself up on TV, but RC is still humble...even with Emig diggin on him at times. Come backs are rare because of all the elements involved. Time, torture from training, risking life and limb, not gonna happen for JS unless he runs out of money soon. I will just enjoy the rare wins that he may have left in him and accept him for a real fast guy.
Redneckrider- and all and any on here that care, I wish James only the best and view him as the 4th best SX rider in the world. I have never really been a fan of his but am always enjoyed him in the mix. He has shown incredible heart and raced his best. I am VERY concerned that he not race if he is not mentally able to and that he has had too many concussions. I have lost respect (or never really had it) for him in several areas. The first is his lack of judgement when re-entering a track after a fall, second his hurting too many riders with his loss of control (not intentional), third his not racing the nationals. I think he may have let fame get to him a little more than most in his position.
That said he has always shown class at the racing events, he has put of with shit from racist pigs. He has raced his best even when getting his ass handed to him from RC and now others. He has shown better poise and class in his riding than CR for example. I have never seen so many disgusting haters toward him than now.
to suggest him couldn't get into canada because of last years cop light incident is a waste of time and stupid as he went last year I know the family personally and know he was already cleared. That incident was a stupid lark he did and nothing more- immature haters won't let it go and most have done worse, I have.
I know he barly passed the concussion test and with the risks he has been taking and losing I think sitting out till the dust settles is wise and the best choice, especially since he is clearly out of chamionship contention.
I am very strong on the fact that he is NOT a dirty rider at all and has raced the best VERY cleanly and has beaten every rider out there. Yes he has surrounded himself with some questionable people (sorby etc...) He should have listened to and retained Aldon Baker, He has made mistakes, but a lot of the shit written above is disgusting.
I feel he is a true sportsman with incredible tallant and his has done a great job of racing and entertained us all, I hope he recovers and comes back strong.
GO RV !!!
@ B-KR
He isnt boarding a plane, remember he is taking the DNS!! I'm sure his private jet could get him there if they really wanted to.. I guess the only way to know if he is allowed in Canada or not is to wait to hear the excuse for next years DNS...
These boards are seriously full of some f'ing idiots....gnat brained idiots. Hey redneckrider and CR500, now that your little love fest is over can you both just STFU?? All you childish fools on here who say it is some kind of scam that the guy is not racing really need smacked in the mouth. Like any of you have any idea what the hell is going on. Man, it's time to just stay off of these boards because the intelligence level of most on here is exceptionally low. Embarrassing as hell!! Grow up people!!
@V-O-R-- You are right, and YOU are the biggest f'ng idiot on here.. Again you do nothing but hate and cut down, never add anything helpful or contribute nothing to the conversation, NEVER. So YOU STFU!!!
@BKR-- or anyone else, I'm not sure how it works for Canada, but doesnt the rider have to apply for a work visa or something?? They are "working " when they go to race. If he wasnt allowed to go there, that is when he would be notified, correct?? I'm not really sure though..
I will say this to @ScrubThis- You do not sound like a on the down low dumb person and you have some good insight sometimes- But because of the language barrier and/or the translator, your posts sound rambling and babbling- oddly phrased and fanatical. Just all this anger- hatred and intolerance. I cant argue with you about your intercultural philosophies- I only want to talk about motorcross. I'm not arguing with you about mlk- only the 33 yr old Timmy Ferry. And why do you feel the need to antagonize the stewards anyway?
Why don't you ever messing with the Reedtards- or the Villo-Tards or ...?- Lots of riders have 'tards' on here just sayin. I'm not a 'ferrytard'- I just dont like you berating his accomplishments.
Maybe boo boo stewart should race 4 wheelers. it's easier to stay up on 4 than 2 wheels.
I can;t believe some of these comments on here!!! Why aren't you dickheads RACING instead of acting like you know why this is that, this is why, what somebody is doing wrong, what works, what don't or what would!!!!!!! Don't see any of you know-it-alls on the result list!!
@redneckrider,,EMIG and SLASH made it across the border,,Both have had run ins with the law due to drugs,,are you telling me that james is gonna skip this race every year?,,because he cant or is afraid he cant get in and out of canada??,,You also State that you have worked with bands that had problems @ the border, but yet you didnt say what bands you knew or had worked with that had problems at the border,,I live in Buffalo NY @ the Canadian border and know some bands also,,,and if scott weiland(stone temple pilots/velvet revolver),,mike ness (social distortion),Alice cooper, and a few others including some buffalo bills than im pretty sure james could also,,,,would love to know the bands you say you worked with,,just sayin,,,,dont want to start a board fight
wow................i wanna barf.
@mikeo - I won't divulge that bands I have worked with but rest assured that they are all house hold names. I don't think any of them would appreciate me digging up old stuff that happened years ago, but your point is well made and well taken. However, one of the points I made needs to be taken into consideration....how much time has passed since the incident (for Slash, Emig, James etc...), were the legal obligations taken care of quickly and completely or is there other ongoing issues? James plead GUILTY to a lesser crime, served a few days and then paid a $500 fine, but I don;t know if the issue is completely resolved. There may be some travel restrictions on him for impersonating an officer which is a very serious offense.
I don't know what the laws in Canada say about admitting to either a Felony or Misdemeanor, and I don't know how Emig and Slash both handled their issues (Scott Weiland had plead guilty to a couple of possession charges) and that was a long, long time ago.
It also depends on the personnel working the border crossings. Some the same people I worked with that had issues at one point didn't have them other times. I was just speculating since we don't know what the actual status of James situation is, it could be consideration.
One of the bands I worked with crossed the border three times in the same week heading to Toronto, then to shows in the states and never had any issues until late at night when they decided they wanted to search our tour bus. They made everyone get out of bed and went over the bus with a fine toothed comb, including our luggage and equipment that was in a semi behind the bus. All I was saying is that it is a crap shoot when dealing with the border and if some of James issues were still ongoing, maybe his sponsors didn't want to take the chance of getting some negative publicity.
I believe that James is injured and a fierce competitor and would want to compete if he can. However, as a business guy, I also know that if the potential to get a lot of negative publicity exists for the entities that sponsor him and since they are the ones that are paying him, it could have also been their call to have him sit it out and the injury gave them the excuse they needed to make that happen. Who knows for sure?
@therealmofo - Some of the bands I worked with also had to apply for work visas, However.........Whether or not those visas were checked at the US border or the Canadian border was again, a complete crap shoot. When I was acting as tour manager heading into Canada, I just told the different management companies to plan to get visas every country we went to even if for only one show to avoid problems.
Sometimes, I got the impression that the border people liked to harass famous people just because they could. It really didn't matter what country we were going into. It could be Canada to the US, or vice versa, or The Czech Republic heading into Austria etc...It is always a crap shoot.
Would JGR really hire a rider for big bucks and aspirations of a championship, if that rider could not race the whole series?
No they would not.
MLK Honda? Or was that MDK Honda? Who is MLK? Just wondering because I kept seeing it in alot of the posts. Hope it's a new big sponsor, the sport is low on $ these days.
MLK Honda? Or was that MDK Honda? Who is MLK? Just wondering because I kept seeing it in alot of the posts. Hope it's a new big sponsor, the sport is low on $ these days.
wow js gets the most posts that why we need him in the sport either love him or you love to hate him
JS7 has left his mark on this sport, good or bad however you view him, he left his mark.
Now just leave this sport behind you JS7 and retire. Save yourself further embarrassment!
We all know you wont' be racing outdoors anyway.
redneckrider thinks race dosen't matter, It's not the 60's. Check out the news. Trayvon Martin.
@killomoto FIRST off mr. hockey buff...Crosby is nowhere near the modern Gretzky. A good player? yes...but he couldn't fill Gretzky's shoes...he's "the great one." and the ONLY Great one. the rest can just dream. Second....you CAN get just as badly hurt on a bike as you can on the ice. I'm not sure if your familiar with the Minnasota HIGH SCHOOL kid that took a check and is now paralized. Third...if JS7 needs to take time off for whatever reason then let him and let him fight his own battles. Yes concussions are dangerous and you, and everyone else has to do what is safe. Whether its Reed, Stewart or God forbid, Crosby. I've had concussions from both sports and i agree with you to not underestimate a concussion. But these riders can fight their own battles. Who cares what people think. its ultimatly up to the rider and the team.
